So far so good

Just bought a used Fiat 500L. Love it so far. Stylish and comfortable and easy to drive. Lots of conveniences. Much roomier than it looks. A little sluggish.

Excellent Ride

This vehicle gets great gas mileage, it’s super sporty and peppy, and has more room than you would expect! The back seats fold down and there’s quite a bit of room. It looks tiny from the outside but it packs quite a lot of junk, animals, groceries, etc. inside- believe me! The only thing that bothers me about this car is the interior. It’s difficult to unlock the doors for the passengers, everything interior is plastic and frankly, kind of ugly. However, When it’s not a professional detail, it looks pretty sharp. It’s just not my favorite style. The exterior is adorable, I need a new paint job soon. Be careful when you buy this car because you can’t take it to any old lube place you have to go to a Fiat dealership because they have to remove the entire front panel to do anything. The great thing is, this car doesn’t really ever need service except for the oil change. These are minor inconveniences compared to the overall performance of the 500 L, which I feel is stellar. I purchased this car for 10 K and it only had 30,000 miles on it. If you’re looking for an extremely reliable car with no issues, lots of room, and a pep in his step, this is a car for you.

Danger! Engine problems

The cars exterior is pretty ugly but the interior was so spacious and open I fell in love with the car. It felt a bit like a spaceship in a good way. The major issue was the engine. The cylinder blew on the highway and has to get it towed. A month later they had to rebuild the engine stating there were all sorts of cracks and things that were not manufactured properly. I ended up trading the car in for the 500x which I like a lot better. Also, the x is built in America and Italy the L was in Serbia....

Great touring car: big windows & panorama roof

Plenty of legroom, front & back. Lots of space to transport anything & everything. Good acceleration around town but lower gears can be a bit chunky shifting in automatic mode. It seemed to have trouble accelerating through lower gears from a stop going up the Smoky Mountains - but maintained speed well once it got into 5th & 6th gears. Front seats are comfortable; back - okay. LACK OF CUPHOLDERS & personal stuff space. BAD blind spots on rear corners - I've added convex mirrors.

Worst vehicle I have ever owned.

It sucks. My air conditioner has been broke for 5 months now and they can?t seem to fix the issue. The air bag light keeps popping on and off and they couldn't figure out why. The ride is so rough since I?ve bought the vehicle. It is COMPLETELY uncomfortable to ride in. The speaker for my phone has been making noises since a month after I bought it. Honestly regret buying this. Next time I will definitely stay away from these things. So disappointed.

Fun, zippy car with lots of interior space

I bought this car as a second car so I didn't have to drive my aging wrangler everywhere. I love this little car. It is zippy on the highway (although it has a slower takeoff) and has much more room on the inside than you would think. My favorite it the Windshield as you really get a great view of the road. The interior is fun and sporty. The seat is sporty as well but slightly harder than what I was used to, but I don't notice that any more. You can definitely hear the road under you so there is probably not enough insulation, but for the price this is a great car. I have the stick and I really enjoy driving it. I am not sure why it got such bad reviews.
