Great gas mileage, sharp looking truck
Aside from the "Chevy Shake" which showed up at 10,000mi (dealer replaced torque converter and synthetic trans fluid to fix), it's been a great truck, no major complaints. I drive pokey, and can get around 27mpg on the highway. Still looks great after a few years, nice styling cues without being over the top

Newest vehicle I've owned
Beautiful styling and love all the features. Too many to list. The other trucks I drove felt old school for the same price. No contest. I think I will be happy with this truck for a long time.

Very good mid size truck
We shopped all brands of mid sized trucks for multi use single vehicle family. Toyota is too proud of the Tacoma (price). The Ford Ranger hadn’t come out yet. They’re proud of those too (price). Jeep Gladiator is way too overpriced. GMC Canyon SLT fit the bill. Bought 1 year used with 14,000 miles in and we couldn’t be happier. It holds all of our camping accessories, rides our three dogs in the back seat, tows our Airstream BaseCamp like a pro, and the Bose stereo rocks! PLUS it fits in my garage!!! For $15,000 more you could have a Denali, but why? I highly recommend to anyone in the mid size truck market!

Better value than other pickups.
Great technology. Multiple USB ports. Feels much bigger than other midsize pickup trucks. Very comfortable ride. Apple car play is great feature. No need for navigation or onstar with Apple carplay.

Transmission sucks
Too much for the money. The transmission sucks in it. It’s not worth buying one. The v6 engine is good can’t complain about that. The screen freezes sometimes.

Just purchased a sle off road.
It was love at first sight. Have only put 200 miles on it but I have felt no issues with the 8 speed trans. Shifts smoothly and timely. The V-6 has plenty of power and tows the same weight as my old 09 Silverado 4x4. I'm hoping this will be a long lasting truck. Living in NY I made sure to get undercoating and rust proofing and a 100k warranty

Best truck I've ever owned. Rugged and refined.
This truck a has all the amenities of a luxury vehicle and can also get down and dirty when needed. The ride is smooth and has plenty of towing power. My wife enjoys driving this Canyon as much as I do! Love this truck!

GMC Canyon changed my mind about driving domestic
After owning a FORD Taurus for a few short but very painful and expensive years, I vowed to never own a domestic vehicle ever again, hence I owned and drove an Acura TL and MDX for the last 20 years until this past summer. The MDX despite with a low mileage, it gave me headache after headache and I've had enough anxiety driving it, one day I decided to trade it in. Never thought I would buy a domestic vehicle ever again but after I saw the 2017 GMC Canyon's ad, I went for a test drive and I fell head over heels. My Canyon is a base model but even my teenage daughter said that it was by far more comfortable than the Acura MDX. I bought this 2017 Canyon for half the price of the MDX and we're loving it!!! LOVE driving it and also just looking at it. The 4x4 is solid and reliable, tested it in snow, ice and rain. I know I got an excellent and reliable vehicle for me and my family. Even my sister's step son who's an auto mechanic, he also just bought his brand new vehicle and guess which model he picked out of the hundreds of different options? A 2018 GMC Canyon! That says a lot, doesn't it?

Haven't had it long
I like the style and options in the truck. Although I don't like that GMC doesn't make it as nice as the larger truck & suv. It's not a low price vehicle so there's no reason for not putting the top quality in the top model. Seats are small and need more height options.
