First owned American made car, AWESOME exterior!
I still get compliments on my car which is now 2 1/2 years old (I bought it end of 2014). I still love the shape and color and people still envy me because of my car. Several people have inquired about my car, wanting one. This is my first American made car and I chose it from cars.com November 2014. Best choice ever!!!

Terrain
The one big complaint with this car and many other cars these days is with the headlights. Hard to see a night sometimes because of the angle of the lights. Have to use bright lights.

Love the Ride of the Terrain
Not sure how I ended driving home a new Terrain but my experience was very good. Brought my Equinox up for a re-call fix and ended up trading it for a Terrain. It was our third time purchasing a vehicle from Dave S. Excellent salesman. Does not apply pressure and I feel he is honest with us. Love my new suv. I'm sure we will deal with Fagan in the future

I Like This SUV
I really like my Terrain and would buy it after the lease is over except for the following problems: First, there is no air conditioning in the back and we have to freeze in the front so that rear passengers or the dog can be cool in the summer. This is not acceptable. 2nd, the front of the car is too low. I am sick and tired of worrying about how close I am to a parking stop or curb or hitting the front going up a steep driveway. I would never consider taking it on a dirt road or out in the snow and getting stuck with the low front profile. Things I really like are the rear camera, being able to talk on my cell phone hands free through the radio, and the leg room inside. We are a tall family and both the front and back seats have more than enough room to sit comfortably on long trips. I like the seat material and everything has been easy to clean. We cut our gasoline bill in half by selling our Silverado truck and getting the Terrain. Other dealers don't want to fix it when you are away from home, though. The power steering quit working during a trip we took shortly after we leased it. The front end had to be replaced and we had to drive home 1100 miles without power steering and take it to our dealer because the one in Oklahoma refused to fix it. That is really bad customer service. Our dealer has provided excellent service, always helpful.

Great SUV but loved my 2012 Terrain more.
I have test driven most in this size class and it is still the best in comfort and ride. And I like its' non conforming looks unlike the opinion of many "pro" writers. If you owned an older Terrain like me(I had a 2012) you're in for many downgrades that you would not expect. See below my Pros and Cons for the changes I have learned now that I have owned my 2015 for a year. Pros: Seats fit well and hold you in place, main console is easy to reach, road visibility, back seat room and visibility, cargo space, back up camera, solidly built with no squeaks or rattles, ease of enter and exit without getting dirty form touching car sill, balanced on snowy and icy roads. Cons: USB slot is in center console and not easily accessible, window tint does little, tail end of car bounces like mini van,( I did have the towing package on my 2012 and that may have helped with this issue), no low washer fluid alert, Downgrades from 2012: Window tint(Now called Light Tint), 7 speaker premium stereo is a wimp, noise reduction side acoustic laminated windows are gone which greatly increased cabin noise, connectivity to phone is inconsistent and slow and often requires rebooting both phone and car, cabin air filtration system, blind spot mirror is gone, cargo area close-out(funny name) is an important "OPTION" now (Surprise!). I had the V6 in my 2012 and have the V4 in my 2015. The increase in gas mileage with the v4 is a plus averaging 25-27mpg combined vs 19mpg combined with the V6. You do loose quick acceleration with the V4. Both were with front wheel drive only. The Eco feature helps some but not hugely.
