Great ride

The ride and quality of the interior is great. Love the new technology. The interior is very roomy and comfortable. Road noise is minimal. The visibility out of the Terrain is good.

This has a comfortable ride and roomy SUV

Love my new Terrain! Spacious interior and so comfy I feel like I am in a luxury vehicle. I tried a couple of different SUV and this one was it.

WOW! What a great SUV!

This vehicle swayed me over from other small SUV's and I am not disappointed. Rides well. I would have liked a V-6 for more power in the engine but I'm still very satisfied with the 4-cylinder. It is a good vehicle that, I am sure, will last us more than 10 years.

Great car, Roomy, efficient and comfortable !!

The terrain is an excellent vehicle, comfortable and roomy, plenty of room inside for all the errands around town, more than enough space for luggage and stuff for road trips, great fuel economy and looks great.

This is my 3rd Terrain and I still love them

I love the car and the folks at Axelrod. Also, the service department is top notch. Following service, they always wash my vehicle.

Nice Family Vehicle

This is a nice family vehicle for when living in Michigan where you never might know the weather. It has good gas mileage and AWD -- a nice combo to safety and savings.

Unique with good overall design, but aging tech

Slightly bigger than other crossovers in the compact class, yet costs much less than midsize models with preferred options. My wife took delivery of a '16 Terrain Denali FWD, with V6, sunroof, and navigation, for well under $36k US. Exterior design looks great especially with color-matched lower panels for Denali trim and exclusive 19" wheels. Headlights are only halogen but at least they are projectors. Illumination is inferior compared to HIDs but from the outside they still look quite contemporary and the LED DRLs complement them nicely. Blinkers and tail lights are all only incandescent, not LEDs. Side view mirrors have blind spot warning and also tilt downward when in reverse. Would have been nice having integrated turn signals in them though. Rear view camera is very helpful. The interior is nicely laid out. Plenty of pockets in the door panels and the center console compartment is the most spacious I've ever seen. Red ambient lighting is a nice touch, as is the tach and speedometer needles which sweep to red-line at ignition. Curiously, red stitching exist only on the door panels, not on the dash or seats. Windows have automatic down but not up, not even for front passengers. Seats are comfortable and the leather is nice. However, when exiting the driver's seat, the cushion bottoms out on the plastic side panel, which feels uncomfortable and cheap. The second row is spacious enough for our three toddlers in their (slim) car seats. The floor there is also completely flat which is nice for loading long items. Collision and lane detection exist but only serve as warning lights/sounds. CD player has been deleted and its location now serves as a tray for my wife's sunglasses. Bose system, however, has been a joy to listen to. The V6 takes off nicely from a stand still but has averaged less than 13mpgs around town. I have observed highway miles in the upper twenties, though. Suspension is lovely but the steering is devoid of any feel making turns a handful. Accelerating out of a corner and getting the Terrain centered requires attention. The steering wheel is very comfortable with smooth "wood" trim at 12 o'clock and a 6 o'clock position I can actually wrap all four fingers around. It turns very easily and hits lock to lock without a warning, aside from a mechanical thunk. Competition is fierce and the second generation Terrain will probably address the short comings of the outgoing one. But for the size, content, price, and handsome looks, I can only fault our '16 Terrain for its handling and lack of a handful of tech features. I would recommend it only to others with very similar needs and preferences as us. The new CRV, Escape, CX-5, Tucson, and the all-new 10 Terrain itself may be better values with their new tech and economical turbo-fours (where available).
