New High Water Mark - in a good way

Day 4: This Accord EX-L replaces a 2004 Passat Sportwagon, 1.8 L Turbo. The VW sold us on the features, but our past three Hondas (2001 and 2004 Accords and 2009 Civic) have taught us the value of features, reliability and cost of ownership. We opted for mpg and features, and we got both. The backup and blindspot cams, plus lane departure and forward collision warnings work GREAT! Audio integration with our iPhones, including Pandora is easy. Keyless features work beautifully. Seats are comfy, leather/leatherette looks and feels great and are infinitely adjustable-and it remembers each of us. About performance: Acceleration is very good this care is very respectable on the ramp. The CVT tranny is responsive and quiet. MPGs look good too. Highway is reaching beyond 33+ on a fifteen minute highway drive, so that looks on track to match our Civic's clockwork 36 highway mpg. Somehow this is happening without the underbody cover we read about (are we missing it, or are we not supposed to have it?). Styling for 2013 fixed the exterior clunkiness of the last two model years. The interior surfaces and leather look and feel great, lots of places to put stuff and drinks (my wife's peeve). All I can tell you is, Honda totally got the 2013 Accord right. This car sets a new bar for performance, style, quality and value for us.

best accord ever

I have owned a 99 accord, 2010 and 2012 civics and just bought the 2013 sport accord last week. This is my first CVT and I love it. Like the 2012 civic, they improved the comfort factor, but with the accord, they hit the mark with conservative styling. I love how it looks. I'm not a fan of the wrinkly hyundai design ... too many lines on that baby. I also considered the 2013 Altima since I owned an 03 altima. It was a close call, but this Honda will last longer. I was also afraid of the Altimas new use of lighter weight materials to get to the 38mpg ... will they last? Anyway, the Accord is a great ride and the 18inch wheels take the corners like my old TR6 from the '70's. Oh and I took a chance with the Hematite Metalic color. Not a green car fan, but this is subtle. It looks great and I don't see many this color around.

4th. Accord since 1980

Always top of the line, they get better every year. Love the 2013 Accord EX, better ride and handling and more horse power with the new 4cyl. then my 2008.

Loving the Accord

This Accord EX-L V6 with navigation package is the family's first Honda and certainly not our last. We are avid Ford truck buyers as dairy farmers needing 4x4 for fieldwork and payload utility for work but were desiring a refined, roomy, compliant and upscale affordable family sedan with outstanding passing power and extraordinary ride for highway get aways and frequent long drives into the city. The 4 cylinder only 2013 Ford Fusion disappointed us and in needing a potent V6 in our primary car, the new Accord was the clear choice when replacing the family's 2010 6 cylinder Fusion SEL. The Accord EX-L is highly luxurious while not being saddled with anything as complicated as a MyFord-type system such as on our '10 Fusion and my new 2012 Ford pick-up truck. This factor in selecting a new car outside of another Ford was part of the reason for selecting the 2013 Honda sedan and a major decision of each driver in the household using it nearly daily. Everything about the Accord is straightforward and the dash layout is clear, simple, safe and easy-to-use from behind the wheel while keeping your eyes on the road. The stereo controls, optional Navi (Honda's best-in-class navigation) and entertainment stack keep everything at close range, unlike those we have had many problems with on other brands. Honda has mastered the infotainment system. Other likes include the lack of blind spots (plus standard back-up camera, a blind spot monitoring system and taller for '13 windows), unsurpassed quality, highest reliability of any and all vehicles we have ever driven and the outstanding MPG one would expect from a 4 cylinder, but in a powerful V6. Not a squeak, not a rattle, nothing out of place, the 2013 is the most well thought out car in its segment and even above and beyond its luxury division Acura. We are sold on Honda and the EX-L V6 with Navi has everything imaginable. My wife likes the new 2013 Accord coupe (from photos, auto shows, professional car reviews) but the '13 sedan was the only body style for the 2013 available at our dealership when we were in the market. It is nice having the choice of a four door, two door and the AWD Crosstour, but the FWD sedan offers exactly what we were looking for and for less than we expected to pay.

Great buy!

VERY VERY VERY few complaints about this car. I have always owned GM cars and then went to Toyota. I have a 4-Runner and now the 2013 Accord, and they compliment eachother well. The Radio sync's flawlessly with my Iphone and I use Pandora every day. They Sport body is great, not the quickest car but pretty nice for a 4cyl. Dual exhaust is unnecessary but looks cool and the trim is great! I am 6ft 6in and the interior is extreemly comfortable, people can sit right behind me. The CVT transmission is really smooth, but when the econ button is on, downshifting isn't that nice. Not really getting anywhere near the 30+ MPG, and I do a lot of highway driving. The black interior looks great, but is HARD to keep clean. Overall this is a great 'get around' car and makes my 30min commute much nicer. The little changes they made from the 2012 is absolutly worth it! I love the 18in wheels, but I think that is only available on the sport.

2013 Accord Sport

I was undecided between the 2013 Altima or the 2013 Accord Sport. I test drove them and thoroughly compared them both and decided to go with the Accord. Buying the 2013 Accord Sport has been one of the best decisions ever! This vehicle is extremely impressive...explosive power when needed, gas economy when you want it. The interior design, the stylish body, the standard 18 inch wheels and the level of room and comfort for all occupants make it a real winner when shopping for a new car. No matter where I go, everyone has nothing but compliments on how beautiful it is. Power, Gas Economy and an Impressive Design combined with Honda's PROVEN reliability record make this vehicle a SOLID performer over the competition. Look no further and buy one!

2013 Accord Moves Into Premium C ategory

We chose the Touring sedan and feel like we own a Lexus, Mercedes-Benz or BMW at a fraction of the price of these premium luxury brands. We have owned several of each and Honda has achieved a new unsurpassed status within its segment. The new Accord excels in every area: room, sightliness, power, braking, handling, ride, comfort, quality and functionality. Safety is paramount and the '13 Accord Touring edition as equipped is as reassuring to our family on the road as our Volvo XC60 T6 AWD, my benchmark in safety and security. The standard backup camera and blind lane monitoring system work flawlessly. The 2013 Honda Accord is a treasure and I urge you to check one out for yourself or family. We are thrilled with our new Accord sedan.

Love my new Honda

I purchase a 2013 Accord Sport on 10/05/12...Exterior styling was what attracted me to this vehicle, once I drove it, it took 2 hours for me to take it home. Fuel economy is excellent, I have only used Regular Unleaded and it fills up with $37.00 and my highway mileage was right at 35 mpg, city 28 mpg. (compared to my other vehicle Premium fuel only 20mpg highway, I am thrilled. The back-up camera is a great feature, the interactive screen, being able to set up everything from how long you lights are on when you lock the car to at what speed the door lock will automatically lock and unlock. For a base car like the Accord Sport, it has as many gadgets as the Accord EX had in the previous years. Best buy by far. Give it test drive.

honda just can't get it right...

2.4 sport trim: pretty nice looking exterior and interior. beautiful gauge cluster. significant improvement in quality and styling over 2012 accord. nicely looking EPA MPG numbers, real numbers actually 10-15% lower even at almost ideal driving conditions. average city MPG is even lower than 2003 4 cyl accord or 2012 2.5 camry SE MPG. driver seat is still uncomfortable. short bottom, pretty stiff cushion. very low and sporty driving position uncomfortable for tall people. what's up with cheap fabric? seats look awful...very small center tunnel storage ans weak headlights. cheap sounding stereo and almost no sound insulation... not sure how much honda saved on it but they ruined accord again. noisy and bumpy ride, no 40/60 split seat, very small center tunnel storage and weak headlights. strong but pretty noisy motor paired with sluggish CVT. they should've put 6 speed AT and accort would be much nicer to drive car. my wife's camry SE lacks only rear view camera, but drives and feels more luxury, got 10 airbags vs 6 in accord, has very nice stereo and much more comfortable driving position and seats and cost less... honda just can't keep up with competitors... unfortunately, 2013 accord is just another car on the market. nothing special.
