Beyond Spacious

Great vehicle and has never disappointed us in any way. The reliability you could not ask for more, it is beyond spacious, and looks beautiful and high end.

2017 Honda Accord Sport

I leased a 2017 Honda Accord Sport, to replace a 1998 Toyota Camry LE V6. I had been wanting an Accord Sport for a couple of years, and having friends who drove the latest-gen Accord reinforced for me that I wanted one. Going from the old Camry to the new Accord was a quantum leap in interior dimensions, planted road presence, and visibility. Once I finally got the Accord and was living with it for a while, I realized that the Camry was the quieter and more powerful of the two. That's kind of unfortunate. And with the Accord Sport I have noticed that I struggle to get over 32 mpg on the highway, whereas when driving my friend's 2015 Accord LX (one trim level below the Sport) I easily achieved 42 mpg on a regular basis. That's probably because the Sport has sportier mapping of its CVT transmission, and its gigantic 19" wheels and higher-resistance tires make a big dent on fuel economy. Also, having owned Civics and Imprezas, I can say that no matter how sporty Honda makes its Accord Sport, it is still a big car. Quite big. And so it handles like a big car. You can feel the road better thanks to those tires, and the compact steering wheel is a pleasure, but when you go around a turn at speed you know that this is a big FWD sedan. So all that aside -- would I still recommend this car? That answer is a tentative yes. If you are looking for something that gets you great gas mileage, buy a Toyota Prius. If you need great fuel economy in an Accord, then buy the LX. Don't buy the Sport or the V6. But if you want a car that can do everything well (and a few things great), then buy the Sport. Its sportier look and feel are worth the extra bucks. The hit in fuel economy is objectively disappointing, but overall this is a solid vehicle. It is fun, extremely comfortable, it has a trunk that can fit an entire house, and a backseat that's arguably more comfortable than the front. The Sport comes with power driver's seat as well. I'd get it!
