A great car!

I love this car. I cannot say anything bad about it at all. Truly a great car! I'm disappointed that they stopped making it. If you're lucky enough to find a pre-owned one, do not hesitate to get it. You won't regret it.

This car is ugly to look at but fun to drive

Overall the car is very good. Was fortunate to find a 7 year old Crosstour with only 24k miles so grabbed it fast knowing it's one of only two Accord Crosstours in the country with under 30k miles. Been driving for almost 6 months - reliable, roomy, good on gas, feels safe on the road, decent acceleration, love the hatchback. Have owned 5 accords and this is my sixth and favorite. It still lacks certain refinements a $34k car should have, then again given the choice, I wouldn't own a 7 year old BMW knowing the problems I would encounter after the warranty expired. But I enjoy the car, happy with the purchase and looking forward to Winter to see how the 4WD handles.

Wonderful Non-SUV SUV

I am sad Honda no longer makes this model. I thoroughly enjoyed the V6, the sleek styling, and the roomy interior. The HRV goes too much in the direction of the Subaru Forester. The Crosstour was unique to the market.

It is what it is; and that is what we wanted

We bought this car new, having ordered it in our choice of colour and options. It wasn't inexpensive but we wanted a spacious sedan with AWD. The dash looked a little bleak without the GPS/back-up camera screen so we got it all. Seven years and 218K km later we still like the looks, performance and ride. We recently replaced the alternator & battery (second battery change) but other than brake pads and rotors the only service has been a matter of following the Maintenance Minder. Winter Michelins mean we have never been stuck and the AWD Honda chugs through a few inches of snow just fine. Seating four or five leaves about the same amount of truck space as a sedan but drop those back seats and there is a lot of capacity. Good sound system, AC and other bells and whistles. Love the backup sensor and could use a front system too, The only real annoyance is Honda's GPS and how they screw their own customers. Mine is seven years old now and Honda wants about $300 for new GPS DVD disks! Hard to find a whole GPS unit that sells for that much nowadays -- TomTom on my iPhone cost about $30 and has lots more features, but Honda sees this as a way to soak their customers and, just like their dealers, wants to screw every penny they can out of you. (Local dealer wanted to charge me $400 to replace the PCV valve, a $40 part which uses one screw. Did it myself in about four minutes!) If Honda still made the Crosstour I would buy another since it is perfect for us, but my wife thinks we should have a Pilot while I like the Volvo S90. Maybe an MDX (since Honda makes the Acura and we liked the Acura we had) if they ever make it attractive to look at.

Great Car

This car meets my needs from plenty of leg room, front and back. Plenty of cargo space. Stylish design body.

Sporty wagon with a few flaws

I bought the Crosstour 4 years ago, used with about 20K miles. Since then, I've put over a 100K additional miles on the vehicle myself. When I learned that Honda was discontinuing production of the car, I was a bit disappointed: I would have strongly considered replacing my aging wagon with a newer model. Overall, it's a great car: typical Honda reliability with a slightly larger engine and sportier handling then its competitors. The 3.5 liter V-6 has more than enough pickup for passing on the highway. Personally, I love the styling (with a few minor exceptions noted below) but I know that it certainly has its detractors among consumers. The good: AWD combined with the larger engine and bigger tires makes this a great wagon for the snowy months. The car feels solid, and I can attest to being involved in a high-speed collision while operating the car: never felt unsafe for a second. There's more than enough room for the family, plus plenty of cargo space in the rear hatch. The bad: MPG is pretty dreadful. While generally a very reliable car, I have experienced problems with the electronic door locks and the A/C--nothing too serious though. My two major points of contention are the visibility with the rear hatch window and the paint quality. You need to get this car with a back-up camera, because you can't see much of anything through the hatch window. Paint flecking has been rampant since I bought the car, so if you do a lot of highway or city driving, you're not going to be happy with all of the pebble marks. Thus, don't buy a white car like I did.

Most reliable car I've ever owned

I have never owned a Honda in my life. I thought Nissan was the best and I was planning to get another Nissan but after I got the crosstour bye bye Nissan! I am truly impressed with it. I highly recommend it!

2nd Most Reliable Car I've Owned

I bought my 2010 Crosstour 2 years ago with 71,000 miles on it. It is my 4th Honda, and I have really loved all of them. I say it's my 2nd most reliable car because I also drive a 1997 Honda Odyssey (with 362,000 miles on it) which is literally my workhorse vehicle. It just keeps on trucking. I like the Crosstour design and handling, and it cruises comfortably at 70 mph on long trips. Although the mileage is not great, which I was aware of when I bought the car, I am pleased with the 24-27 on the road and 21-23 around town. I wanted a station wagon type vehicle because I generally travel with my dogs. I had no idea what a Crosstour was until the Honda salesman showed this one to me. As soon as I drove it, I knew that It would be the perfect car for my lifestyle. My dogs are very comfortable in the back. My one problem has been that the driver's seat is a bit low, and I am short, so seeing out (and out the rear window was difficult at first). I do wish the driver's seat could be raised a little higher; however, this was easily rectified with a wedge seat cushion. Other than that, I really love my Crosstour.

Excellent car, even at 200,000mi!!

Highly recommend giving this car a shot. It has more room than a standard Accord, but the same reliable Honda engineering that delivers perfect performance at every moment. The V6 may be a little less on the gas mileage, but you make up for it with the economy mode on the highway (shutting off 2 cylinders for V4 economy). It's a great car for any family, or if you just have a lot to haul around (like us; 3 kids and a big puppy!) and don't want to settle for a minivan quite yet. Excellent car that will last for years in your household!!
