Love it!!

I have the EX. I love driving the car. It is comfortable and easy to drive. It has plenty get up and go for me. It's easy to park. I do wish it had a volume knob on the dashboard. Anyone who gets in my car and wants to change the volume always messes with the temp knob (gauge). Its funny but irritating. I do wish the console was closed off from the drink holders. I'm sure I will spill something down there one day.

Safe car for my daughter & her young child

It has all the safest features to protect my family. My first priority is their safety which is why I don't worry when she has the car for work and/or driving with her young child in car.

Great Car for the Money!

Like the headline suggests, I believe this car is the best car for the money. It is a good blend of comfort, reliability, fuel economy, and fun. I test drove this car against a Toyota Corolla before I purchased it and I felt that this car was much more engaging to drive with more technology. With the Civic, I immediately noticed the better driving position compared with the Corolla. In the Civic, you sit low in the car and you feel in control of it, like a sports car. In the Corolla, you are just sitting high in the car giving it a lesser of a sporty driving position. I purchased a Civic EX with the Honda Sensing package (unavailable in the Corolla at the time) and I highly recommend it because it adds an extra safety feature along with the adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist to help with long journeys. The EX comes well-equipped with a bigger screen, Apple Car Play/Android Auto, and push button ignition. One thing I wish I did was to purchase the EX-T because it was only around $1k more with more features like Satellite Radio, nicer rims, fog lights, and a Turbo. So far, I have averaged around 30-32 mpg in the city (around 30 min commute) for the 8000 miles I have driven it. One thing I notice though is the tank is too small. I end up refilling the tank every 300-315 miles (a little bit before the reserve fuel light is on). There are also a lot of squeaks and rattles that shouldn't be heard on a barely year-old Honda. Luckily, the service center I go to has been friendly and taken care of the squeaks and rattles that come up. Another thing that annoys me a lot is the range of the key fob. In the Civic EX, the car comes with remote start, which is a great feature. Except, for it to work, I must be within 5 feet away from the car if I am approaching it from behind, 7-10 feet if I am in front. This is annoying! What is the point of having remote start if you can't start the car from at least 20-30 feet away like my old Toyota Prius? Either way, it is a small annoyance, but it still is something that should be improved. Finally, the last thing I have a problem with is the turning circle. It takes around 2.5 turns to completely lock the wheel compared to my old Prius of around 3-3.25 turns to lock. This is a major difference especially when trying to maneuver in tight parking spaces. This and the problem with the short-range key fob seems to be a problem with Hondas for a long time. I am surprised they haven't fixed this yet! I used to have a 2000 Acura TL that I purchased new at the time and it had these same problems: I couldn't unlock/lock from far away and turning circle was terrible. Overall, I do recommend the Honda Civic, as it is a great car in general that I can count on. The styling is great, and the reliability is good so far. It also has a lot of technology and is sportier to drive than a Corolla in my opinion. Yes, there are some minor gripes with this car, but no car is perfect. Some problems that I have, like the squeaks and rattles may not apply to other people because I purchased my car the same year it was released. Honda may have fixed these problems in their 2017+ models.

Good solid car for the money, very pleased.

Pros: Excellent build quality, handles well, plenty of power, comfortable and quiet ride. Cons: the touchscreen controls are maddening, frustrating, buggy, and slow. Too often I've found myself drifting into another lane just trying to change a radio station or the fan speed. There's zero tactile feel so you must take your eyes off the road for simple tasks. Give me buttons for functions and screens for backing up and display-only information.

The best car I have own. Best in its class.

I was waiting to buy a new car . But when I test drive the 2017 honda civic EX the car just fit like a glove. Excellent design and the car is fun to drive. The extras that it has makes it one of the best civic yet. Buy a civic if you are planing on purchasing a new car. Test drive it and feel the force of the honda civic 10th gen.

Honda Civic 2016

I was amazed at shape and style of this civic. The interior was also a dramatic surprise...The MPG along with its handling is really good considering its a 4 cylinder engine...The dash displays are also good as I am not a big fan of idiot lights...I am surprised I don't see more of these on the road, but I think time will solve that one...After only driving this for just over 600 miles I am very impressed with my new Honda Civic...Regardless of the fact that I am also a Honda Jet Mechanic....
