Too new. Purchased May 24,18

So far it's a nice car to drive. Getting use to electronics and radio. Driving this Honda with electric steering is very easy, it doesn't take any effort. Don't have to fight any cross wind. Moon roof is very quite.

Base model

I had a 2015 civic base model that had more "features" than the CRV base model. It doesn't have the option to automatically reset the miles when you get gas. You don't have the option to see how many miles you have left in the tank. The only way for you to open the trunk is manually. The different views for the back up camera is pretty cool. It's very roomy with lots of storage. I like the way it drives.

1st Honda

Traded in an '07 V6 AWD RAV4 base model and the CR-V EX we bought is a mid-level trim w/many features that would have made our RAV4 a 'Limited' back then. Plus the CR-V has many of the driver aids that make driving safer. I think the value is there. It rides nice and although power is noticeably less than our 'hot-rod' RAV4, it's adequate. Plus the MPG's are impressive. The infotainment system (HondaLink) is functional and seems to work well, but you must spend time w/the Owner's Manual to fully utilize its systems. But after getting it home I discovered that the engines, particularly the 1.5 turbo engine in our CR-V may have a serious defect that allows gasoline to enter the crankcase where the engine oil is stored. It DILUTES the oil which can lead to engine damage. There is a RECALL in China for this exact issue, but nothing has been done in the USA. It is noted online on many sites. Time will tell and Honda doesn't have the greatest history of addressing these kinds of issues. Ask anyone who bought a Honda or Acura w/an Automatic Transmission 10-15 years ago. They failed just after the warranty expired.
