2021 Honda HR-V consumer reviews

My new Honda HR-V makes a piercing whistle noise when I drive over 35 mph and when the window is open. I didn't notice it because I didn't test drive this car at highway speed when I checked it out. Brought it back to Huntington Honda (NYC) and they said it was normal, as 2 other cars they test drove made the same horrible noise. I test drove another HR-V on my 2nd service visit and it did not have the same whistle problem. So buying a Honda is like gambling I guess. You never know if the one you get is a lemon. BTW, also notice a lot of rust underneath my car and under the steering wheel column. Gonna get w Honda Corporate for an explanation ASAP because 2 local mechanics said they've never seen rust like that underneath a steering column. Wish I could post photos on this site for you all to see for yourself.

It's a piece of garbage. There is a piercing whistling sound when I open any window slightly. Brought it back to Honda Huntington twice. They said they hear the flaw but said they test drove 2 other new HRVs and they all had the same flaw. They said until a lot of people complain, then it's not a fixable-recall. The whistle sound is unbearable. How did Honda design such a horrible car. Or does Huntington Honda just sell a defective batch of Hondas?

My HRV is a great vehicle! I love the look of it, it’s comfort and the price is right! It’s also fantastic in inclement weather. I love it so far!

Having leased the C-RV previously , I was surprised at what a little difference it was going to the HR-V . It has plenty of power and handles beautifully .

The purchase was meant too be. As we were discussing what we wanted a truck load of HR-Vs arrived with just the car we wanted. We picked up the car the next working day with all the selected options installed.

Great space for small SUV. Performance was great. Very comfortable when driving. Lots of good features. Honda Sensing is impressive. It is a right vehicle for someone that needs a small SUV.

This is the kind of car that I need for a single dad, T It give you very good gas mileage & is a compact car

This is a great car for someone who needs lots of flexible space and does lots of local travel. It's excellent on gas and performs well in various climates. The interior is simple but effective. The drive is sturdy and feels well constructed.

Am so excited to own look forward to fun road trips. Can’t wait to drive to Grand Canyon and maybe even New England especially Maine and new hampshire

The title says it all. First time in a fairly long history of car purchases/leases that I've simply gone for 'another of the same'. My one disappointment: new ones no longer have GPS installed "because everybody uses their phones". I'm old and this means one more new trick to learn; glad I already have an iPhone or I'd have had to ask AutoNation to add one to the deal.
