Most comfortable vehicle ever owned

The 2006 Honda Pilot has been the most comforatble and reliable vehicle I have owned. All the great features just make it a joy to ride in. The Navigation system is a terrific feature to have, dont think I could own a car without. Would definitely recommend. :)

Some big problems for a big name

One moth after leasing my new 2006 Honda Pilot I took a drive to the beach with my family. Unfortunately the beach stains came home with us and have yet to leave. I have tried to wash the salt stains out numerous times and even had them professionally detailed. All I ended up with was water stains on top of salt stains. I brought my Pilot in to the service department and got no where and left completely disappointed. Honda has the worst fabric seats ever causing me to never want to lease another vehicle from them again. 24 months left and counting. I only hope that I will not be forced to pay the price for cheap material when the lease is up.

Don't Be Fooled!!

Horrible windnoise, terrible ride quality, injure yourself on the low hanging rear hatch, no room in the 3rd row, cost of maintenance is outrageous, and my monthly payment is so expensive for what I thought was a quality vehicle.

Has some design problems

The car is comfortable. However could use some more front legroom. It performs well when passing and is a comfortable smooth drive. The features are very good. I would not, however, buy another one untill some serious flaws are redesigned. I DO ALOT OF HIGHWAY DRIVING AND THERE IS ALOT OF CONSTRUCTION IN THE AREA. I LIVE IN S.W.FL. I HAVE HAD THE CAR IN TWICE FOR SOME MAJOR REPAIRS HAVING BEEN CAUSED BY ROAD HAZARDS. FIRST, I HAD TO HAVE THE RADIATOR REPLACED BECAUSE A SMALL PIECE OF GRAVEL FLEW UP AND PUT A HOLE IN IT. THEY NEED TO REDESIGN THE FRONT, PUT IN A PROTECTION BARRIER. SECONDLY, ANOTHER PEICE OF ROAD DEBRIS FLEW UP UNDER THE UNDERCARRIAGE AND PUT A PINHOLE LEAK INTO THE HEATER LINE(WHICH IS ALUMINUM). IT IS VERY EXPOSED AND DOES NOT HAVE ANY PROTECTION. I BOUGHT MY CAR NEW IT IS A 2006 EX. IT HAS 29,000 MILE ON IT. I DO THE MAJORITY OF COMMUTING ON THE INTERSTATE. HONDA WAS GRACIOUS ENOUGH TO REPLACE THE RADIATOR FREE OF CHARGE, BUT ONLY AFTER SOME HARD NEGOTIATION. CURRENTLY I AM WAITING TO HEAR IF THEY WILL REPLACE THE HEATER LINE. THESE ARE VERY COSTLY REPAIRS. MY FEAR IS THAT THIS WILL CONTINUE TO BE A PROBLEM IN THE FUTURE. THEY REFER TO THIS VEHICLE AS A "TRUCK" AND "SUV". I WOULD NOT DARE VENTURE TO TAKE THIS CAR OVER ANY TYPE OF TERRAIN OTHER THAN A PAVED ROAD.

Best SUV from 2005 to present

I drove the vehicle before I bought the Honda Pilot and everything from the handling to the style is top class. Honda's reliability and the value for the money is what closed the deal for me and my family.

very reliable

I've owed for 13 months and 22,000 miles and very reliable, comfortable ride, handles many conditions well. Only wish gas mileage was better. Navigation system rocks!

Drives likea a car

Drives like a car. MPG is bad, but that is the nature of the beast. Very roomy. More space than out 4Runner. Third row seats are small and only suitable for children or adults on short trips.

Excellent Vehicle, Replaced Minivan

Approaching 10K on LX 4WD, runs solid as expected. Got 26 mpg with steady speed of 65 on highway. Using full synthetic oil for better performance, life of oil indicator is most welcomed feature. Makes some noise when AC is turned on. Got best vehicle for the money spent, holds value.

Mom of 4 loves her pilot! No more minivan!

I love my Pilot! I bought a used 2003 from a dealer with 37K. I had a Chevy Venture for 5 years and was totally sick of it. What I found in the Pilot was the same amount of space for hauling kids (it seats 8) with slightly less room for groceries in the back. The second row seats slide forward for easy access to the third row. It is not too high, like many SUV's and it drives like a car. The center console is what sold me. I hated the wasted space in my van--so many things got lost down there and under the seats. Everything is ergonomic and comfortable. Mine has leather, but none of the other goodies, like Navigation or DVD. It has plenty of get up and go! I had originally wanted an Envoy or Trailblazer but didn't like the third row seats in them. The Explorer didn't even rate, in my book. When you look at the Pilot and these others side by side, and throw in Honda's reliability, you'll be sold!

Practical & Reliable SUV

I own a 2003 Honda Pilot. For the money, it is the most reliable SUV I've ever owned. It really hauls 8 people, making for memorable trips. The gas milage is much better than a Suburban. The rear windshield is a handy feature. The liner for the rear area keeps the carpet clean. I bought the car because it had an excellent safety record, too. The only gripe I have is the front passenger seat does not have automatic controls.
