Pilot VP 2008

Pro: Reliable ... At least up to 2000 mi. Smooth drive. Roomy inside. Good gas milage. Con: Cheap cloth on the VP trim. Exterior design is not exciting.

Everything needed for a family

I bought the 2008 Pilot to replace the family's aging Ford Windstar. You get legendary Honda safety and reliability. This is our second Honda. It's ability to get us comfortably from point A to point B in the Pacific Northwest's heavy rain and slick streets plus occasional ice and snow is unparalleled. The vehicle's VTS-4 all wheel drive is incredible. Add the ABS brakes and Vehicle stability control plus 5 star safety rating and you get the point. The complaint that the interior and body style is "dated" is ridiculous. I have no complaints in comfort or style. The only wish I would have be better gas mileage. Do not hesitate to buy one.

Adequate.

This CUV is nothing special. the 3.5 offers adequate power, there is adequate people space, and the interior is adequatly put together. one thing that is not adequateis the price, for the top of the line the price is 30,000 + This car is overall fine but honda could do better. MPG is okay, i average 13 city and in the highway i got 19 not a full 20 yet like the consumer reports say. My friends are needing a new CUV and i told them not to get the Honda Pilot, only because other companys are exceeding Honda and i would have to recomend the Ford Taurus X, its 3.5 duratec is an award wining engine of 10 out of 10 catagories, and its bigger. The Honda Pilot is nice but other companys have been improoving and Honda has been falling behind

Get Navi

This is my 2nd pilot. My 1st was an 05. Not many changes from the 05. The few are better lights, inc fogs, and XM radio. The leather on the 08 is cheap when compared to my 05. Not a big deal. A freind has a BMW with navi. Honda's navi system in far better. If you are considering a veh and navi is must give honda a look. Beware, no MP3 hookup.
