Traded 2010 v-6 Accord for a 2008 Ridgeline

Loved my Accord, but it couldn't make it to the deer camp. Looked and drove the Tacoma & Colorado. Both were very pricey, but neither could match the ride of the Honda. My Ridgeline was obviously taken care of, as I am the 3rd owner. Smoothest riding pickup I've ever driven & its 9 yrs old with 128k miles.

SUV with a birth defect ? Hardly.

Whoever coined that term is obviously jealous or has never owned a Ridgeline. I wanted a Ridgeline since they first came on the market. I thought it had great lines and the side shrouds made it stand out from the crowd. I'm now on my 2nd one. It took me a short stint with a GM product to bring me to my senses and realize how much I missed my first Ridgeline. The features are outstanding. The front wheel drive, dual-action tailgate and 72 gallon bed trunk are the premier ones. The unibody design it shares with the Pilot make it ride like an SUV, not a truck. The interior storage and compartments are welcome additions. The flip up rear seats add to the storage capacity. I do think, however, Honda has make an egregious mistake by redesigning this vehicle for 2017. The new ones look like a regular truck; a Nissan Titan, if you will. I hope this is not the death knell for the Ridgeline and they will find the error of their ways. It's their fault they failed to market it properly the past 10 years, now they are banking on a redesign to breathe life into it. Big mistake, Honda.

2008 honda ridgeline rtl

I've searched 4 door pick up trucks for quite some time test drove countless trucks. The ridgeline won hands down. The car like drive comfort plus the pick up bed. Only one on the market that I know of with an in bed trunk. You can find a cheaper truck but you get what you pay for.

Smooth with lots of room.

So far so good. This Honda Ridgeline has been great so far, we have owned it for a little over a month and have been on two camping trips so far. The Ridgeline has plenty of room and is really comfortable on long drives. We especially like the truck which has tons of space for locking things up. We four wheeled to the top of Hurrah Pass in Moab this weekend and it had plenty of power and clearance for the drive. Granted it is not hairy four wheel driving but still plenty rough. Another great feature is the stereo which really rocks. Great vehicle with well thought out design!

Excellent truck

Bought a used 2008 Honda Ridgeline with leather, sunroof, etc. and 52000 miles. As good as I expected. rides and handles like a full size car. Mileage not great but was as was advertized (gettting about 18 mpg combined). very large and comfortable interior with leather, moonroof, folding rear seats, covered bed with the fantastic hidden cargo bay. This is a great suburban truck for those who really don't need a working "pickup truck.

It's a Honda...

Got Ridgeline as have had great luck with Hondas before. Gas mileage OK for 4wd. Still trying to decide if I need running boards, as the step out is a little high. I did have electrical problems under dash like a few others have reported, a wiring harness going to heater blower melted at connector and had to be replaced at a cost of over 600 dollars. I am hoping it does not happen again. If you buy used, check heat and ac to make sure they function well. I just thought I was not operating it correctly at first, but when I checked owners manual I was doing it right but connection was bad.

Favorite Truck

I've been looking for a truck that is reliable and would hold its value. I bought a 2008 Honda Ridgeline RTS with 80,000 miles under $16,000 in great condition with a custom stereo. I'm pleased with the truck and value.

Great Drive and ride

Great driver and ride quality suffers in fuel mileage DO NOT add a all terrain tire or your mileage will suffer I added a set of general grabber at 255/35/r17's to it and while it gets great gains in traction off road it will suffer fuel wise! I love the overall feel and ride quality could use more sound insulation for roads that need some work but overall great little truck. If your looking at Tacoma's like I was originally you will bed a lot happier with this it actually beats it in almost every category!

Dependable

Nice truck, fully loaded, w navigation. Had same truck in 07, went back to it. Have had the full size chevy crew cab, but find the Honda a little better on gas, much easier to drive and handle on the road. If you don't handle long or heavy loads or toll heavy things, you will not be disappointed. It's much easier to enter and exit than climbing in the bigger trucks.
