I should have listened to my friends

I bought this car with 12 miles on it. It was brand new. I drove it to school the first day and the transmission started to have trouble shifting. It lost alot of its power. I took it to the dealership and the guy was like ha ha you are not the only one with that problem. Then i left it there for 3 hours to be fixed. They didn't even tell me what was wrong with the car. All my friends told me not to buy this car....

Perfect

I'm having a great time with this car. It's the Accent sedan fully-loaded with Shiftronic. The value, quality, driveability, styling, performance and efficiency are first rate. I like how easy it drives. The cruise control is excellent. It has powerful HVAC. It averages 35-45 m.p.g. in eco-mode with very moderate driving. The trick is to go slow enough to get up to speed and maintain that speed and you'll definitely get 40 m.p.g. on the highway and in town about 35 m.p.g. I can't even get it to hydroplane with it's traction control on in the rain. When I do need more power and shift it, it has more than enough with the r.p.m.'s being at a higher amount to get the most torque. Even on the low-end I can't get worse than 28 m.p.g. It did take 3,000 miles to get the best efficiency on the break-in period. It was the best investment I've ever made in a car.

Very good car for the money.

Well the Hyundai Accent is a pretty good car we bought the top of the line se3 trim and its a good car for 2012 it gets a six speed automatic and its a good car i like the 2010 because it had a arm rests in the center of the backseat in the car but i guess its okay. You have a lot of room in the backseat more than the new Mazda2 and Ford Fiesta ,and Chevy Sonic those cars cost more.So the Hyundai Accent has disent power great fuel ecomny and a great price.I would defently reccomend the 2012 Hyundai Accent sedan or wonderful hatchback!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheap to operate, fun to drive!

Traded in a 94 moderate fuel consuming vehicle for my wife and got the 4 door Accent. She loves it!!! I drove it off and on for about a week, I love it also, especially hands free phone. Great gas mileage. After a week of driving hers I traded in my gas gussler, large 4X4 pickup (avg 16 mpg town & highway) for the hatchback Accent. Love it!! Fun to drive, easy to park (try parking a big 4X4 in a public garage or street, yuk) My highway mileage is around 40mpg and 35 in town & highway combined. I'm 6'1" tall and weigh 280lbs and yes it is comfortable. My wife and I are both retired and this car is a perfect fit for us.

Love it!

Extremely comfortable to drive. Great gas mileage (which is why I bought it). My only complaint is I wish the back seats would fold down flat for more efficient loading/unloading of "stuff". Otherwise, it's awesome!

Nice car, but not for Wisconsin

We bought this car for its size and for its fuel mileage. We were very happy with the car until our typical Wisconsin winter came in. The car drove great on dry pavement. But once you hit any kind of snow or ice , the car got a mind of its own. If you are driving along and have it where some snow blew across the road, you had to watch out, the cars back end would swing from side to side. We took it in to get aligned and some better tires put on it, but that did not help much either. I would buy one again, but only after I move to South America.

Great car for the money.

I purchased my 2012 Hyundai Accent two months ago. I opted for the SE because of the Bluetooth and the center arm rest. They make a huge difference to my driving comfort. When deciding which car to buy I researched (and test drove) the Mazda 3 (and 2), Volkswagen Jetta, Honda Fit, Ford Fiesta (and Focus), Chevy Sonic and Kia Rio 5. I insisted on a car with 30city/40hwy mpg, high horsepower & torque, low price, and hatchback styling. The Accent was the only car at the intersection of those requirements. The ride is very comfortable and quiet. Spacious on the inside, with a back seat big enough to be comfortable to adults. Yet the car is small enough overall that it?s easy to park in tight spots. The 138 horsepower with 123 ft-lb of torque gives it good pick up on the highway, when I need to punch it to make a quick pass. Steering is fine. The gas mileage helps my wallet a lot. The Bluetooth is very helpful when I need to be on conference calls for my work. It even recognizes my iPhone, so I can play my music wirelessly. It?s a lot more elegant on the inside than I expected (I got the black interior, with a gray exterior). The trunk space comes with a cover, which keeps the contents of the trunk private. One down side is the lack of a spare tire. But it seems to have the available storage space for one, so I plan on purchasing a spare tire soon. Another downside was tight rear visibility, which I resolved by removing the central headrest for the back seat. Overall I?m very happy with the car so far. It feels right and drives well.

I love this car!

I purchased the new Accent GS hatchback. Tool a chance as it had not yet been reviewed, but no regrets. Stylish exterior and interior, peppy performance. I like the ECO feature,as it helps me get optimum mileage. I average 27-30 around town, and 38 highway. I was considering the Kia Rio5,which is basically the same car,but the communications system was extra on Kia,whereas it is standard on Hyundai, so about $1500 less. Great buy!
