2021 Palisade Calligraphy leather trim issues

Bought a Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy cash because I was so sure we love it. However, the leather trim on the passenger door is really rough to the touch. It appears to be starting to peel or something. The trim is rough on my wife's arm and is causing irritation. This is our only complaint so far. Otherwise, this car drives like a dream. The lanekeep assists with its many cameras make you feel very safe while operating this vehicle. Overall it's a great buy so far.

Great value SUV with a Shockingly Bad Tech

Everything about this car is what you would expect form a rising Hyundai automaker. Spacious, luxurious, above average driving and engine capabilities. The biggest issue, and it's a big one is the awful usability and lack of flexibility with the entertainment system. Yes, you can plug in your iPhone and use CarPlay, but if you want to use Hyundai's native system, you are going to hate it. It is so very limiting, with so much wasted real estate in the large display. For example, one can not control the placements of radio/satellite preset stations. Although this ability has been in place since cars had 8-track players, its not the case here. The presets are ordered by frequency of station or channel number. So if my 4 favorite XM stations are, in this order, 88,9,33,and 1, The preset order would be 1,9,33,88. These would also fall behind whatever FM stations I may want as a preset, as FM stations come first. So if I had 4 FM stations I somewhat like, but XM ones I like more, I would be forced to have my most favorite station as #5 in presets. Additionally, one can not view the song or radio station on the main dashboard. You are stuck viewing the worded description of the weather, so it will read "partly cloudy" for an entire car ride instead of showing me the radio or song playing in the large dash. So although everything else about the car is well above average, these usability flaws tied to infotainment make this an SUV I can not recommend.

The car has all the extras you don’t need but you kind of want without having to overpay. Such a smooth ride. Definitely worth the wait.

Nice car

Hyundai has come along way. Almost the same interior as Telluride without the 7k premium pricing. It’s a very nice car. Good value for a very sharp car!
