New Car!

This car has met all my needs, very comfortable and the features are very luxurious. The panoramic moonroof is very nice! It has a lot more then my previous car. The exterior looks very sporty.

Quite disappointed

My spouse and I, after having done much research, traded our Mitsubishis for Hyundais. Big mistake, and obviously we didn't do enough research! We both have Ioniqs, and although we love the cars, they both have random periodic small issues, which the service center hasn't been able to fix due to the problems being periodic. While my car was in the shop, they gave me a '21 Santa Fe SEL with the Convenience and Premium packages. I'm not a crossover/SUV fan, but the car is pretty nice and I especially like the big sunroof. The power is sufficient and the gas mileage is decent, and it's a pretty comfortable car. However, only having driven it for 3 days and about 100 miles, I've experienced issues only an old $500 car should have, not a brand new $36k one. We quickly noticed the auto start/stop system doesn't work consistently, which appears to be due to a faulty switch (it randomly lights up, which indicates the system is off). When it was in my garage, the panic alarm went off about 10 times over the course of a couple hours. There was nothing around the car to cause the alarm to go off, and we discovered the rear seat occupant sensors are extremely finicky and were causing the panic alarm to go off, apparently thinking a child had been left in the car. The seats were folded down so I would have thought that would have shut the system off, but once we shut it off in the touch screen all was well with that. The passenger's side blind spot monitor didn't work at all for the first day of having the car, and our Ioniqs, as well as Elantras I've rented, have also had glitchy blind spot monitors, so don't rely on them! Lastly, the key sensor on one of the doors didn't work, which was only one time. Our Mitsubishis were getting up there in miles, and despite never experiencing any issues with the cars, we decided it was time to get cars that were newer and with a warranty, thinking they would also be reliable. Now every time I start my car, I cross my fingers that all will be well. The long warranty was a huge attraction to us, but the quality just isn't there, and I'm honestly surprised they still stand behind their cars for that long.

Incredible Vehicle....BUT..

Impressed by Vehicle from Jerrys Hyundai in Hudson Oaks, TX, but would have been nicer if we did not have to Pay for the Leather seats - Advertised was my vehicle from Jerrys Hyundai with BLACK LEATHER - They said they did not know how it got there, and after 2 hours of vesting our time and driving it, my Partner and I were soo disappointed that they were not going to sell us what the Ad spoke of - We had to Pay ((1600)) bucks EXTRA out of OUR Pockets, to exchange seats that were SUPPOSED to be (((LEATHER))) >>> it's why we came back for a NEW Santa Fe instead of the used 2020 we drove the day before with CLOTH seats - We have 4 dogs and we came BACK for the LEATHER that was advertised, smh

Best balance of features vs value in its category

This is a very nicely designed and well thought out vehicle. There are more features in it than most will ever use. It seems to have great build quality and is a solid feeling automobile. It gets very good mileage, but the non-turbo engine isn’t what I’d call “high performance”. It’s powerful enough to confidently merge onto a highway, but it’s obvious that the performance comes from an advanced electronic transmission. The lane correcting system is a bit twitchy, but once you get it set properly, it works well. I like the radar spacing feature that keeps you from the car ahead. The infotainment system takes a while to understand. It wasn’t as intuitive as I’d like, but that may be because I’m in my fifties! It’s a very attractive car with sporty, even aggressive styling. I’ve only driven it in gusty winds and rain, not snow. But it was confident and predictable in those conditions.

Fun to drive! Many safety features.

My Sante Fe Limited is well equipped. When I sat down in it for the first time I thought I was in the cockpit of a fighter jet (never sat in a fighter jet). It has many “gadgets” which makes driving the car exiting. It checked all of the boxes for me. Safety. Comfortable ride. Quiet. Nice looking. Just to name a few. If you are looking for a SUV, do yourself a favor, test drive a new Santa Fe. I suggest trying the 2.5L turbo!
