Not a bad deal

This is a fabulous car if you're in it for the long haul; ride is smooth, cornering and balance is exceptional, good power for a 4 cylinder, mostly to due to proper torque and 5 speed auto trans, the safety air bags are awesome. Only ding is lack of protection against noise from bumps - if you can live with that, the car is a keeper. The retooling showed they put their engineers in the car, not at a desk. Ignore the trade-in value; it won't be there when you get rid of it. If it can just get 100,000 with little or no maintenance work, it will be a real steal for the price. We're very happy with ours.

Sonata

There are few things I dislike about my 08 2.4l 5sp Sonata. The car performs all my basic transportation needs. The biggest downfall of this vehicle is its gas milage. I only get 26.7 MPG with this vehicle during mostly highway driving. I would not recomend this vehicle in my configuration for someone who is looking to save $$$ on gas.

Good as camry and bigger saving account with it~!!

I was impressed with the ride and affordability. All the nobs were easy to control. Power was plenty at uphill. Best of all. My family loves the car.

2008 Sonata SE V-6

I've had my Sonata for about 4 months now. This is the 2nd Hyundai I've owned and by far the best vehicle I've owned yet. Dollar for dollar it is really hard to beat what the Sonata offers, particularly in the area of SAFETY features. Great V-6 power, smooth ride, and extremely roomy and comfortable, even for the back seat passengers. I wish that the exterior and interior look were just a tad bit more sporty, but that is a mere quibble. And I do miss that this car doesn't have a moonroof. But those minor things definitely were not something that kept me from buying one apparently!! Almost went with an Elantra, but the dealer made us a such great deal on the Sonata (about $1000 more than the Elantra we were about to buy) and the wife totally fell in love with it after test driving both the Sonata and Elantra. So if I was happy and she was happy then we did good. If this Hyundai works for me as long as the first one did (about 7 years) then I'll be one happy camper.

This is NOT your mama's Hyundai!

Five years ago, I would have made fun of someone that owned a Hyundai. Now, I own one and I love it! It has it all. Comfort, styling, performance and most importantly value. I have a Sonata SE V6. It is very quiet on the highway with a very smooth ride. The styling is simple but sporty. The V6 is smooth and powerful with a nice mix of economy. I average about 18 mpg in strictly stop and go city driving. I have had it just 6 months without any problems. I am hoping that I get the reliability I have read about. If so then I have this car for a long time.

its good for the money.

the hyundai has come up alot since i last driven it. this vehicle has great gas mileage and also has a very good warranty. the performance is not something to brag about compared to other competitors(accord & camry) but overall this car i can say is for a newlywed couple or something. if you're someone who's looking for a better performance i personally would say an accord or camry would be a better choice.

Best deal out there for the money

Very good gas miles with the 4 cly GLS Auto model... Rommie inside I am 6'2 260 lbs with no trouble getting it or our...Lots of saftey things that are standard where other charge you extra for. Good ride with little engine noise Good sounding radio...Love the Slap Stick to use when needed...Good pick up for a 4 cly Heated rear view mirrors even on the base model.. All in all you can't beat it for the price.
