tire noise too much

TIRE noise on this car is sometimes toooo much. the passenger seat has no adjustments and you feel like you are sitting in a hole. engine and transmission do not match up. when going up hills with cruise control on this car WILL NOT hold it's speed and you have to manually downshift the transmission. really? what a joke..

My biggest disappointment EVER!

I just recently purchased a 2011 Sonata Limited, used. I fell in love with it on the lot! It's a beautiful blue with gray, leather interior. I test drove it, fell in love, and got a great deal. After having the car for 4 days, the ESC light came on, on every engine start. (Push button start) Then, the next day, the Push Button Start button wouldn't work. Kept stating,"Push Break Pedal To Start". Only thing was the brake pedal was frozen. I called AAA. They came out, charged my battery, but couldn't get my car started. I had to google what was going on with my car. This is a very common problem as it was easily accesible through google! I took my car to the local Hyundai dealer and they replaced the 'Brake Lamp Switch'. Which is the common part that's replaced on all of the googled articles that I read. So now I need to make a tough decision, keep my Sonata and risk more headaches or count my losses and get out of this deal? A tough decision as, I really liked this car.

Great Car !

This is the fourth Hyundai I have owned. I bought the Limited model with all options except Navigation. The car just didn't happen to have it as an option. I have had extraordinary performance with all of my Hyundais. I owned a 2004 XG350L. Gave that to my daughter and bought a 2005 Xg350L. Recently got my other daughter a 2011 Sonata GLS. She loves it. Gas mileage is great on the Sonatas. I plan on having it a long time.

Excellent Ride

I've owned the 2011 Sonata SE since March 2011 and am still happy driving this car with 23K miles on it. It has a sleek sporty look to it and have received compliments. I feel safe in the car and have had a couple of near miss accidents where my car stabilized well. It's a quiet ride and the controllers are idiot proof. Only complaints are the 2.4L engine is good, but doesn't have the pick up. Blind spots on the passenger side of the car can be an issue when someone is sitting next to me. All and all a great ride though for the money and would recommend.

Happy Happy

we recently purchased the 2011 limited used with 9500 miles on it. Loaded nothing we could add. Even had the only upgraded paint job.. Surprised that even rear seats are heated. Love the sound system, lots of bass if you like it. Ride is very comfortable, people say road noise? I just don't get it pretty darn quiet.. Love the 4 cyl pep, the gas mileage is even better. Took it on the highway set cruise at 68 and got better the 37mpg. I also like the automatic...manual trans feature. So far my wife and I just love it. The 5 year 60k warranty bumper to bumper is great insurance. 10 year 100k powertrain wow. If you want a nice car, stylish looks fuel economy and loads of features look no further... You'll post a review like mine...

Sonata

I got my Sonata new. Drove it for 20000 and it had already lost all its power. btw the gas millage you read on their website is nothing close to what it gets no matter how well you drive it. It feels amazing when its new but you will hate it after a year or two. Run away from hyundai sonata.

Love my Sonata

Let me start by saying that in the last 3 years I have owned Nissan Maxima 09, Mazda 6 2010 and now Sonata. Loved my Maxima for the power but felt miserable at the pump everytime. Mazda 6 was nice comfortable car but 4 cylinders was no fun, even though I felt better at the pump. Finally, I got Sonata 2.0t 2012 and I am loving. I have power when I need it and get better mileage than my Mazda. Not to mention great looks of my Sonata and warranty!!! Best car ever!

really like this car, limited version

I got the limited version of this car so I could have heated leather seats. There are so many options that I have that omplaint I like! Lots of compartments to put everything. Even the backseats are heated! I get an average of 31.5 mpg when driving to work on freeways and city streets. Went on a couple of long trips and got over 35 mpg! My only complaint comes from my children, they say the backseats were not cushioned enough for long trips. I also wish there were a AC jack in the back fur charging phones, but that's not a biggie either. There is tons of trunk space and my family of 4 fits easily. My children are 17 and 11, so at least one us adult sized.

Love my new car

I love the color and metalic tint to the exterior color! I like the dark grey interior as well! The seats are comfy and it feels roomy. My only dislike would be that you can hear a moderate amount of road noise. I owned a Pontiac Grand Prix previously and thought it was a much quieter ride. It has a good get up and go when you hit the gas and has a very smooth drive!

Style, efficient and reliable

Hyundai's gas engine Sonata is stylish, comfortable and a delight to drive. It is nicely powered and handles great. 28 mpg is hard to beat. A winner.
