Fast and comfortable

Perfect for my needs. Has great acceleration. It stalls a little at low rpms. Turns heads and is easy to modify. I definitely want to keep this car.

Sporty at a great price point

Bought this car new in May 2016.... August 2019 and I have 126k on it. I’ve kept up regular maintenance and I’ve had -0- issues with this car. No mechanical problems AT ALL. Very happy with the purchase!! Fun little car . I’m almost 6’, and very comfortable for me. Back seat is a little tight, but I’ve seen worse. The back seats sit u down deep enough that it’s not unbearable. And I’ve loaded my car down on trips with the back seats folded down. I’m very happy with it. GREAT fuel mileage as well.... I drive 100 miles round trip daily for work. Hope this helps someone trying to decide .

Good reliable ride

I bought my Veloster brand new in October 2016. As of 7-7-2019 I have 171,000 miles on it. In this time frame I have only replaced air filters, cabin air filters, oil changes with mobil 1 synthetic and wix oil filters, a new battery in November 2019, installed new iridium plugs at 120,000 miles, changed the dual clutch trans fluid at 150,000 miles, and I'm on my 3rd set of tires. They say the trans fluid is lifetime, but I don't know about that. I will say that when I drained the trans fluid at 150,000 miles that the fluid still looked brand new. Same thing with the spark plugs even at 120,000. As you can tell by the mileage, I drive a lot. I drive the car fast sometimes, like 80, 85, or 90mph. But I don't drive it hard. 75 mph and under I get about 38 mpg. Over 75 that goes down. As we all know the base model Veloster doesn't have a lot of horsepower. I had only planned on keeping this car 6 months when I bought it. But things came up in my family and I had to drive to take care of those things. Also, I live in the central Texas area. I have driven the car to Washington DC, San Diego, Ca, and St. Louis MO. I will say that Hyundai dealership service is not good in my opinion. Hence why I did all the maintenance work myself. So overall I'd say the 2016 Veloster with the dual clutch transmission is a good vehicle. Just know that you won't win any races in the base model and don't overdrive it's capabilities.

Pretty nice car!

It’s a beautiful vehicle! I loved how it fit me! It had low miles on it and it saves SOOO much gas! I also love the way it drives so smooth on the road

Still loving it!

Purchased this as a commuter car 3 years ago as my Chevy Tahoe is a gas hog. Still love it and would buy it again! The 4 cylinder engine is a little underpowered, but with manual transmission I can downshift to compensate, and have no problems. The hatch is remarkably roomy - we squeezed 2 kids (14 and 10) and all of our stuff for a week-long trip into it. Gas mileage is great - I get 36 mpg on our hilly area on the back roads , and it goes way up on the highway. My requirements were cheap, fun color, manual transmission, distinctive styling, reliable. This ticked all the boxes and I love it.

super cool, a lot for the money

This car is very sleek and offers a lot of features for the money. The turbo also adds a bit more power than the basic model

Fun, cute car with great gas mileage

I bought this car used with 33,000 miles on it. I've had it for about 3 months. It is a 4-cylinder, so there's not a lot of power. It takes effort to get up to speed getting on the freeway, but I can adjust. My last car was a 6-cylinder. I love the body style and the orange color. I got the manual transmission and it's a lot of fun to drive. It wants higher grade gas, but gets great gas mileage.

Trouble Free for 3 years. Oil changes only.

Thanks to its 6 speed, dual clutch, shift-able automatic, this car is the most fun I’ve had driving since the sports car I had in college. I chose it because I’m 6’ 2” and like the ease of entry a two door coupe, with its large driver door and the rearward positioning of the “B” pillar, affords. This quirky hatchback has that large driver door coupled with both a front and rear seat door on the passenger side.

Sporty hatch that's fun to drive.

The Hyundai Veloster turbo has a distinctive look and with the turbo engine, it's a blast to drive! My first Hyundai, I decided to buy because a friend has a 9 year old Elantra with 130k+ miles and it's been trouble free. Small hatchbacks are perfect for transporting my dogs and the Veloster gets incredible gas mileage. Nice to be different from all the SUVs and Cross-overs that everyone else drives!

Fantastic car. Reliable, fun, economical

This car has been great for me. I was driving extensively for work and it performed great. Fun to drive with the turbo, but still great gas mileage. The technology in the car is great as well, with Android Auto fully integrated for a really nice experience.
