Best car I've ever bought
I love the moon roof, leather wrapped steering wheel, heads up display and the heated seats. Drives great. Hangs curves really well. Has a lot of get up and go!

The best all around vehicle in looks & performance
I love this car. It looks good, drives well and is very affordable. It suits the spirited driver as well as the conservative economist. It is as close to perfection you can get in a vehicle.

Opposing Lines
Firstly, I own a 2016 Veloster Turbo 6 speed manual, with heated leather seats home link, Sirius XM Radio. This car is an absolute blast to drive, and with 201 horsepower on tap, it is less and a Volkswagen GTI on outgoing Ford Focus ST dot-dot-dot but thousands less. The 2019 Veloster Turbo R Spec is just as much fun to drive, and has been tweaked for performance. Unfortunately, and I DEFINITELY mean UNFORTUNATELY,Hyundai did NOT put much effort into the interior AT ALL. I read EVERY review I could absorb, and ALL the praise included the interior. This is how you know two things.1)A young person,NOT aware of the previous model wrote the review...or...2)A person didn't spend more than ten minutes looking at the interior. It IS 85%OF THE REASON you choose a car,any car.The new Veloster R Spec doesn't even have leather. You can't get an auto with paddle shifters ( both of which are a laughable mistake ) and the interior is ALL HARD CHEAP PLASTIC. I dont know about you,but I want BETTER for MORE MONEY. The seats are too too wide and NOWHERE NEAR as form fitting or bolsterous as my 2016's leather. The attention NOT PAID TO DETAIL is confusing.I already have the same engine.I f I can't get better upgrades or the soft touch surfaces and creative design, why would I bother? The uplevel trim Turbo Ultimate has ridiculously impossible to keep clean,OFF WHITE LEATHER.AND...its the price of the ALL NEW N MODEL. The N will suffer greatly when the hordes of buyers looking for UNIQUELY DIFFERENT and FAST...see Hyundai's dumb grade school mistake of cheap plastics everywhere,NO LEATHER,NO AUTO WITH PADDLE SHIFTERS. That makes the " N " drop in price within a year to where it SHOULD BE,at about $24 or 25,000 TOPS.

Why CHANGE What Works
First of all,I own a 2016 Veloster Turbo 6spd manual. It's a blast to drive, has 201 horsepower, heated leather seats, Homelink, satellite radio, and is unique looking. It was thousands less than the egocentric GTI. The redesign is a nightmare of bad ideas that should have never been executed into production. Aside from the outgoing Veloster's odd indention under the headlight that ISN'T effective air streamlining, the rest of the body is pretty sharp. The 2019 has two blunt opposing body lines/curves that look ridiculous and are not a sinuous, fluid design. The interior quality of materials are very cheap on the doors and seats, which were widened for 300 lb. old guys...not it's demographic target. The open design ( sortof satin handles ) flanking the console and shifter were removed for a flat, cheap, flimsy wall. The doors are plain and boring. The radio now stands up like an annoying comedian.I don't know about you,but I really DON'T WANT something distracting my outward view. The VERY odd compilation of unnecessary angles at the rear do not flow smoothly. Now,does it drive as well.Well,yes.But the only two versions you should want, the R Spec and new N version ONLY come in manual transmissions, which is ludicrous for the N version. This means,NO AUTOMATIC Wikipedia shifters.Huge.Huge.Huge engineering oversight.PLUS...I can get a Camaro with that, plus 275 horsepower for thousands less right now with rebates, and a slew of standard safety features. As a matter of fact, you can grab a 335 horsepower Camaro with paddle shifters for 3 to 4 grand less with current rebates. Engineers NEED desperately to think of clean, fluid, sleek design elements and less weird 23 year old grad student ideas.Look at the 19' Mazda3.Now look at the OVERLYDESIGNED Veloster. I rest my point.

Nice Sporty car for value.
Driver seat has many adjustments, seat warmers are a + along with front leg room. Could use more back leg room & trunk room. Overall it's a nice car with a lot of perks.

I absolutely love this car!!!
I love all of the features from the heated seats to the infinity sound system. The seats are so comfortable and the interior is so nice e everything just meshes well and gives off that sporty look. The vehicle design itself is just very sporty and sharp. That kind of drew me in. Snd ghd third door makes it easily accessible if u were to have a family. So it's like a sports car and family car all in one.

Can you believe Hyundai has come this far?!
2019 Hyundai Veloster N with performance package. Boy racer meets daily driver- but with little to no compromise! This being more of a performance oriented car the ride quality can be a little on the bumpy side (even in comfort mode), but wont kill you driving city streets or even long highway trips. Hyundai has already been making exceptional vehicles the past few years, but now they've broken into the fun part of the market. The only complain I have is they wont bring the "Elantra GT" N to the states. However, this Veloster is no joker either. Words do not do it justice. You just need your ears and a heavy right foot to realise you need to buy it RIGHT NOW!

I think I have a lemon on my hands
Since buying my Veloster 2.0 in November 2018, I've had to brave through quirks, unpredictable throttle response, excessive road noise and now my car is in the shop "indefinitely" because the clutch slave cylinder has already gone bad and Hyundai doesn't produce the part for dealerships to repair yet.

2019 Veloster N
Bought mine with the Performance Package. "Holy Mother Of God", this car is so much fun! I am 6'1" 210lbs, the drivers seat is one of the most comfortable I have ever sat in. From the moment you sit in the car you know it was designed for the Driver. Hyundai has come a long way from their initial roots. I don't know about reliability, because I have only had it about a week however it appears to be a solid quality piece of work! The best thing Hyundai did without a doubt, was hire Albert Beirmann from BMW's performance division!
