JEEP COMPASS 2014 BUYERS BEWARE!!!

Buyers need to aware of a swirling sound inside the cabin at speeds over 100 km/hr. Dismissed as a feature/idiosyncrasy by the Dealership and the Manufacturer who wish to wash their hands off their responsibilities. Very disappointed and dissatisfied customer. So for all you people out there PLEASE, PLEASE!! try before you buy. Don't get sucked into those sales gimmicks and be thoroughly satisfied before you sign on the dreaded dotted line. Recommend you test drive over 100 km/hr before you make up your mind. Personally and most definitely would not recommend a JEEP Compass.

Compass is Great

Nice space, handling, sporty yet 4 x 4 option. Classy, comfortable and styled as Grand Cherokee is really attractive look. Quiet, no highway noise what so ever. 30+ MPG

First Jeep Owned

Just purchased our Jeep Compass Limited. We had a full size Dodge Durango prior.Looking forward to the better gas mileage. The Jeep Compass is the sharpest looking small SUV we looked at. Features with the Limited Package exceed most in the Small SUV class. Despite some of the comments on the web about the Compass this is a great vehicle for the money. I would recommend looking at a compass if searching for a small SUV. Interior space is adequate; although much smaller than the Durango we owned prior. Handling is great and fun to drive. There are faster compact SUVs out there, but the 2.4 L has fair acceleration. Interior build is as good as any we looked at in this class. Seems to ride better than the others we test drove.

2014 Jeep Compass Latitude

Just bought a 2014 Jeep Compass Latitude 4x4. Upgrade 2.4L obviously, bluetooth, navigation, heated seats/mirrors, cloth/vinyl seats. Essentially everything the Jeep has to over with the exception of the leather interior. Extended warranty and Simonized interior/exterior for roughly 28K. Drives great so far, pretty solid amount of power for just a 4 cylinder engine. Turns excellent and pretty solid on gas. From NY. costs around $45 to fill up tank. The stereo/Uconnect option works perfectly and recognizes voice spot on. Great if you need a 4x4, with a decent amount of space without the girth of a larger sized vehicle.

Great little vehicle

My wife wanted to replace our 2006 short-wheelbase Chrysler Town & Country. After driving many small vehicles- cars and SUVs, we liked the small Jeeps (I liked the Patriot better, but she liked the Compass). The older models had the CVT, which I didn't like. As soon as this was available with the 6-speed I test drove one, first with the 2.0 and then the 2.4 engine. I bought one on the spot. We took a road trip of about 1800 miles and got between 28-32 mpg on the highway. Comfortable, compact, plenty of room, tows our boat. Good visibility, simple instruments and controls (ever see the dash on Ford Escape- weird). Can't beat the Jeep at this price (we got the Sport, 2.4, automatic, tow pkg) for less than $ 22,000.

2014 compass

The 2014 compass is a night and day improvement over the 2013 model. Test drove both, and compared to other small SUV's in market it is a best buy. Mine has the 2.4 cc engine and 6 speed auto transmission plus USB bluetooth and all of the necessary options. $21.3K before taxes in Chicago area is by far a better buy than the Kia, Hundai, Ford Edge and a bunch of others.
