2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 Liter

Bought this vehicle in February of 2011. It is what it is 10 years old. Looks incredible for being this old and in NY State. No rust anywhere not even underneath the vehicle, frame, doors, even the nuts and bolts!! Minor issues had to change the TPS and IAC Sensors, which i did my self fairly cheaply. Idle was rough and shifted funny but for about $150. runs like a top! 4.7 Liter engine is very strong for 120k. Changed the transmission oil, engine oil with Valvoline Maxlife. Stereo system is incredible, leather seats are awesome, interior is beautiful. I love this vehicle!

grand cherokee is great!

great suv for the money, these suvs last forever if taken care of. IF something goes wrong in it, then they arent too expensive to fix either.

Great for driving in Northeast Ohio snow!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this Jeep Grand Cherokee-Laredo from a local family run pharmacy who only used the Jeep for home medicine delievery. At 7 years old it only had 68,000 miles. It goes amazing in the snow, but the gas mileage is worse than expected. It is nice I do my own up keep such as oil changes and tune-ups. But I wouldn't reccomend a 99-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo for everyday driving use. It is a annoying fact that the sensors, power window motors, and the front brakes have such a problem and Chrysler never had a proper recall!!!!

Great truck for the money

This is my second Jeep. Repairs are inexpensive and easy for do-it-yourself types. The key is to change the oil often and use high end oil brand. I expect to be driving a Jeep for as long as I can drive.

awesome vehicle!

I bought this jeep in 2003 with 23k on it and now have 110K and still love it. My wife drives it daily and LOVES it. When we decide to replace it in a couple of years she insists on a new Grand Cherokee. I do most of my own work/maintenance and aside from the warped front rotor issue (which I repaired myself with the updated calipers) it has had needed very few repairs. Original engine and transmission work flawlessly. I live in a salt state and use it exclusively during winter driving and it has absolutely no rust anywhere, especially underneath, which I feel is amazing! The vehicle is easy to maintain yourself. Compared to 2 previous ford explorers (which were absolutely the worst vehicles I've every owned) this jeep is awesome! My wife and I definitely plan to buy another one in the future!

Awesome Jeep

i just purchased mine with 84k miles (4.0L I-6). i've heard alot of complaints about things breaking, but so far mine has been fine. i have the Laredo, but it is loaded with all the options (power everything, heated seats, leather, sunroof, etc..) and 4x4. very comfortable inside, alot of usefull things, 4x4 works great, great looking Jeep, although i wish it sat higher. (i guess i'll have to get a lift kit) i am very happy with my purchase, this is my 2nd Jeep, and will defintely owne a 3rd when the time is right.

never own another jeep or chrysler product again

4 power window motors went bad, all 5 door locks went bad, transmission went out at 34k, sunroof leaked, a/c heater core went bad, but it hauled butt and the engine itself was great. too many problems in such a short time. I will stick with GM.
