Getting close to 200,000 miles, just regular maintenance, some rust showing. But I don't have a car payment! :)

Not enough room for me to tell all the problems with this vehicle door wiring,radio display power seats all common problems with this year and lots of other model years B/4 and after.they recalled it for the factory hitch no no no. They want to give customers with an after mkt hitch a $100 gift card to check the bolts.nothing for the factory hitch owners??? I checked the bolts and they are fine.obviously I don't take my jeep back to the dealer for work .As long as I own it the dealer won't ever touch this vehicle again.we were once a jeep family my daughters had liberty's,this is my second grand cherokee.Never again will I buy another jeep or Chrysler product!! Next time it's an import or maybe GMC Chrysler should get into another business,other than building cars!!

This model year Jeep is one of the best, especially with the top-of-the-line 'Overland' package. The all-time Quadra-Drive II is perfect for all terrains and the aggressive styling puts it at the top of the SUV class. Only drawbacks are obviously the low mpg's because of the 4.7L HO V8 and the peeling of the chrome wheels, which is due to salt in the winters.

great car for the city and fun to drive in the winter! Rugged and reliable I use it to transport my three dogs all over 90 lbs. They go everywhere with me!

I bought this because of someone at work. I now know it was a very big mistake. When buying I knew it needed a few things but never were able to get to them because other things going wrong ? As I searched the web and talked to other owners these are common problems. I'm a single dad owned this thing for a year it's running me towards bankruptcy. To top it off today I filled it up with gas after paying I notice a wet spot . You guessed it the gas tank is leaking. Went online it's a back and forth if Jeep should recall this gas tank issues because fires have started from this. As I looked at it I agree gas was leaking onto the tail pipe. I'm at a real bad place in life because of this I need to put money into the inspection is due with money I don't really have to throw away now with more problems popping up everytime I turn around. I made a mistake of putting to much money in it that I will never get back ? I don't go off-road and is real easy with it don't know what to do ?

Very reliable vehicle. Runs and drives great and gets you where you need to go comfortably. Creeping towards 200,000 miles sensors and bearings start to wear but that's expected when driving a vehicle for so long. Take care of the vehicle with regular oil changes and services, the Grand Cherokee can easily take you past 300,000 miles.

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7L v8 My first car and so far has been reliable. I bought it used with 230,000 miles now has over 250,00. Engine still runs strong no major repairs that I know of. Gas mileage is not the best around 12 but thats what you can expect of a big v8 all time 4 wheel drive.

I had gotten this jeep from my a father to use as a loaner while l save for a car of my own. I have driven it before however. It has been good. It needed work due to neglect however once the shocks were replaced and some welfare items changed she performed like the tank she is. She is weathering however holding up better than some of the vehicles of the same vintage. It is a wisconsin vehicle in winter. She handles bad weather like none other. It is a matter of watching out for others that can't seem to drive. All the systems work. It is a limited and just dated. She is like a timex takes a licking and keeps on ticking. It is an AWD V8 and she eats fuel like her M1 tank counterparts. However what is thank like safety worth to you?

Recently got one of these because my old Wrangler wasn't spacious enough (I do art shows and am in a band; lots of stuff to haul around.) It is great in snow; we had a whiteout storm recently and the Selectrac 4x4 steadily plowed through the awful roads. Beware a slight blind-spot that occurs on your driver's side/right while driving; not a big deal if you're vigilant. Lots of room, very sleek comfortable drive and nice adjustable seats. Keep with routine maint, look-up what usually goes on these and replace that stuff and you're good to go.

Don't buy had less then a year ac stop working rear axles went bad and are leaking fluid and engine leaks oil as well and also the front differential also leaks fluid. And alternator went bad.
