A pathfinder owner
I'm an old hat. When I find somthing that I love, I stick with it till it's usefulness fades or it completely fails. We owned a 2001 pathfinder and loved it. Served us well on and off road for 17 years.....yes 17. Rust just got the better of it,so time for another. Checked out all the SUVs out there till we finally went to jeep.(Owned a wrangler for 13 years and loved it) So we picked out a Grand Cherokee limited with the v 6 and tested it and we were sold. Great solid ride and handling the vehicle has power..fully loaded runs like a jack rabbit. We live in the Adirondacks of NY. Plenty to do off road so Jeep was the answer. You get all the bells n whistles of a luxury car yet the knowledge your in a great 4 wheeler. Buy one and be impressed !

Solid in everyway
Perfect SUV. Maybe not as exciting as others in the class in terms of interior styling, but all of the necessary tech and utility. No to showy, but good looking, classic Jeep design.

Worst decision
We purchased ours brand new from the Chrysler dealership. The dealership's customer service is a rant of it's own, which should have been our first clue, but the vehicle has had nothing but problems. It's been in the dealership nearly 9 times in a year and a half for a myriad of issues; suspension noise, body alignment issues, the upholstery was coming apart, the window regulators were making terrible noises, the shifting is hard, the push start button was locking up, the touch screen went out... the most persistent issue that the dealership cannot figure out how to fix is the seat heaters/seat ventilation/steering wheel heater. It's been in at least 6 times for this issue alone. I am getting out of this vehicle as soon as possible, it's a moving bucket of problems.

My opinion
Comfortable in front, not so much in back seats. Tows my Polaris General very well. I'm pleased with it as a daily driver and for off-roading on weekends.

Prestige vehicle without the Badge
I own a Lexus and a Mercedes. This Jeep has more features and rides better than both of those. The Jeep Grand Cherokee we have is the Summit model with the full luxury leather interior, V-8 and 4X4. What other car can tow a large boat, ride the interstate with a soft luxurious ride, haul lumber, and smash through snow, mud, and rocks? It may not be a sports car but the Hemi engine pushes the car well. It may not be nimble like a Porshe but it can do a u-turn on a two lane road. So far we love our Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit.
