Never kept a vehicle this long.

I bought my '04 Liberty new in March '04. It has 162K miles on it now and has been completely dependable. It's hard on gas, but who cares? It's a 2 ton 4 wheel drive. The Check Engine light came on 2 years and 20K miles ago. I'm ignoring it because it's still running great. Other than for recalls I've never taken it to the dealer. When I read some of other owners' horror stories, I really feel for them. Find an honest, knowledgeable, independent mechanic, use top quality fluids and parts, and don't let any aspect of maintenance or repair slide and these little trucks will run forever. Mine still looks like new inside and out and I don't intend to ever sell it.

Best little SUV

Couldn't ask for a better overall vehicle. Ride is typical for a jeep. Fuel economy is typical for a thirsty 3.7 liter V6 engine, but in bad road conditions the 4x4 handles great. Powerful enough to push a Cadillac up hill. Small enough to park anywhere yet big enough to carry everything you need it to. The thing is a little tank. Takes a beating and keeps in going. Low center of gravity and didn't flip. Yes I out mine through the wringer and it kept going. Getting another one soon!

My Favorite Vehicle of all Time!

The first time I sat down in it I knew it was love at first sight. The smell inside, was from it's beautiful grey leather seats. I sat up high and straight, not low as usual. I didn't have to climb down into it, like most cars I drive. My bad back felt so much better sitting in the Jeep. I had plenty of leg room for my long legs. It had seat warmers, and auto seat adjusters. Along with a beautiful auto sun and moon roof. It drives smooth and was pretty good on the gas. The steering felt comfortable, and also not top heavy without too much concern for over correction (on steering) causing rolling problems. I love the ability to fold the back seats down, to increase cargo space. I love the powerful 4×4 abilities w/towing small trailers capacity. I mostly use mine for basic daily use, but it's equipped for so much more. It's the best vehicle I have ever owned and I have owned some really great vehicles.

Do not choose this car if it rains where you are

Today, I was making my way onto the highway and this car only has attraction on the back right wheel. I was not speeding or going on my phone and the car completely spun out. Luckily I did not get hit or hit anything, but I have never had this happen in my other cars. This car is HORRIBLE in bad weather. The littlest turn and your car will be out of control.

Never owned anything more reliable.

Candid opinion - I owned the car for two years. No major issues when I bought it, hasn't been any major issues, no major issues now. Good reliable vehicle; dirt, gravel, rain, sleet, snow. If you ever have to drive during dangerous winter roads you will thank yourself for getting a four wheel drive.

Decent car

Would not recommend if you drive a lot, it gets very bad gas, although mine is able to take the cheapest as available at the pumps. 😆~_~o_O👑

Always loved this little SUV! Perfect for women!

Perfect for just about anything you need. Great in snow or for off-roaring, plenty of room with back gate entry, full sized spare tire, and very cute. All around amazing vehicle!
