Worst car we ever owned, one problem after the nex
Not good on gas, Cronin leak on back hatch even after replacing all rubber and new hinges. Bad heater blower motor, twice. Never, will I buy another Jeep.

I've owned my Liberty for 8 years
This vehicle is very comfortable and has been a great vehicle for me. Of course, with many miles now, it has had some items that needed repaired in the shop. Overall, it has made my decision on what vehicle I should buy next a difficult one.

150k miles and all is well
I bought this car new on year end sale in 2010 for $4500 off of the sticker of $27500. Other than a fan clutch, in the first 100K miles I had no repair cost. Since that time I have done only tires, brakes and a water pump ( normal wear items) and one ball joint. I have towed a trailer a number of times; hauled 8ft long lumber, carpenter tools and a snow blower inside. It gets 20+ mpg at 70-75 mph and runs very well. It' s certainly not a fancy car but it has done what I have expected it to do. It's my daily driver and has been very serviceable. My only complaint is that FCA, like all other mfrs, uses HOAT "long life" antifreeze that you're not supposed to have to change for 100k miles. I followed those instructions and have since come to find that HOAT coats the inside of the heater core with an "...oxide coating..." that causes the heater core to get clogged. So four flushes of the radiator and heater core later, the heater core is clogged and there is no heat in the cab. The only repair is to replace the heater core which will cost about $1000. The bottom line is that while I have found that the vehicle to be quite reliable, the antifreeze has caused the only real problem I have had with the vehicle. FWIW: There is a TSB from 2012 on the issue that I just found that recommends flushing the system. So the "long life" antifreeze has to be flushed just as often as the old stuff, making it "standard life " antifreeze in reality.

ENGINE IS JUNK
THERE IS A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT THE 3.7 ENGINE EATS THE VALVE SEATS. JEEP IS THE ONLY MANUFACTURER THAT IS HAVING THIS PROBLEM. ALL SERVICES WERE DONE AND NEVER OVER HEATED . SEAT BOUNCED AROUND IN CYLINDER AND DESTROYED PISTON AND HEAD. LAST JEEP FOR ME

Good SUV For Anyone
I drove my Liberty around with bikes attached, towing a boat and doing some 4x4. During the week I can drive with ease to work, and know that my Jeep will get me through the work at winter and bring all my fun power toys with me.

My Dream Car
I've wanted a Jeep for as long as I could remember. I love the Jeep Liberty (post 2008) body style - all the Jeep looks without being too big for city living. I do wish there was a little more passenger leg room in the back seat. Overall, I adore this car.

Not Such A Great Jeep
This Jeep is a great design and all but it was not reliable at all. It broke down quite a bit though. I would not suggest this but it would be a good car to do a demolition derby in.

Great look
Nice but the California top was leaking in all the ones i test drove. Smooth ride also has a great look. Maybe the sun roof would be a better choice.

Very versatile car
It is good for driving on the road and has good gas mileage for being a jeep. It is also good for light off-road and like any jeep, can be upgraded for heavier off-roading.
