Good used car so far

I think this is going to be a good used car. I never had a 4x4 before so I am still learning how to use its max. Benfits.

I LOVE MY JEEEEP

GREAT for seasonal weather, spacious, and durable. I love the 4WD during the winter! I also appreciate the off-roading benefits. Family-friendly vehicle (and fur friendly).

Constantly doing repairs

I bought this car used from the dealership and have nothing but problems...front end has been done 2x bearings have been done 2x, rear end is making a clunk on right turns mechanic says it needs to be re-done. I’ve had multiple mechanics tell me they do a lot of the same repairs on the patriots and would never recommend them. I’ll be trading it in ASAP

Worthless piece of junk!

DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!!! WORTHLESS PIECE OF JUNK!!! 0 stars Purchased a brand new 2009 Jeep Patriot Limited in late 2008 at my local Spring, TX Chrysler Jeep dealer. I loved my Patriot and I am now the sucker! 18 months after purchase the CVT tranny went out and was replaced under warranty. That concerned me but I still loved my Patriot! But this is what makes this car worthless-Suddenly and with no warning my key fob wouldn’t open my car. I was able to start it using the key but then the check engine light came on and none of the electrical systems were working properly. I got home and read some blogs and found one where a guy said his wife’s was doing the same thing and he advised popping in and out the white fuse box (the reset). I tried it and it worked so I went straight the dealer to get my car fixed. Had the tech come out and explained it to him and he turned the car off and sure enough had to pop out and in the reset fuse box to start the car. I left the car to get repaired (should have been a piece of cake right? NOT!!) I also had to rent a vehicle to go to work. The next day they called me to ask me to come in to the dealer. I did and when I spoke to my service advisor at Auto Nation Spring, Tx she explained that the part that needs to be replaced is called a gauge cluster. She then explains that Chrysler no longer makes that part and that my best option is to call around to find a company that specializes in clusters or check the junk yard. Oh and if that isn’t bad enough she tells me that even if I can find the part they can’t install it for legal reasons. And they still charged me $90.00 for the diagnostic! So I came home called Chrysler and opened a case and was given a case #. I was told I would get a call back in 24-48 hours which never came of course! Then I called every place that sells and /or installs these parts and no one could find the part anywhere. They searched everywhere and kept in touch with me as they tried to help. I then called Chrysler after 48 hours and got another customer service specialist who told me “well you drove it for 10 years” unbelievable! They call that customer service, I call that the worst customer service ever! So now In September 2019, I have a totally unusable, 2009 Jeep Patriot Limited parked in my garage. It is not able to be driven due to the fact that it won’t pass safely and therefore can’t get current registration. I can’t trade it in and can and will NOT sell it private party. I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW SO NO ONE ELSE END UP BUYING A Jeep Patriot Limited which are on car lots for sell everywhere.

Roomy little SUV

Meets all of our needs. Spacious interior, comfortable seats and lots of rear seat leg room. Nice space in the hatch for hauling. a bit of a gas hog

Great small-sized SUV.

This car met all of my needs when I first purchased it. Although it still runs well I'm upgrading to a larger vehicle to fit my needs, but I wish I could keep it around!

Just Meh..

I love my Jeep! It?s a good size, good on gas, gas the amenities I want. But! The transmission is terrible, constantly jerking and missing, when it rains water leaks from my dome light (common problem apparently), AND don?t expect to win any races because when this car is in between 25-35 miles per hour the transmission doesn?t know what to do! It?s like it spazzes out!
