A real bargain

This is one of the cheapest vehicles on the market. It was not intended for drag racing but has very good power and can run whatever speed you deem reasonable. It is fun to drive around town and good on the highway. It has had zero problems in 15,000 miles. I have made as high as 40mpg on the highway, but the way I drive my overall gas mileage is around 26.

The Inexpensive Blessing

This car is a very reliable, inexpensive car that I purchased at the right time! I initially thought I could ride my older car until the wheels fell off. Silly me! This car is safe, cute and gets us to where my family needs to go.

Fun to own and drive

I was looking for a vehicle with more room, the Renegade has met that requirement and more. I love the look of the exterior, the details make it one of a kind. It's fun to drive and looks great too.

Exactly what I was looking for

I was in the market for a new 4 wheel drive vehicle, but wanted one that was still compact. The Jeep Renegade immediately caught by eye. It's roomy, but doesn't feel like you're driving a tank.

Great Quality for the Price Point

This is a compact suv with4 wheel drive and enough bells and whistles to make it feel fully loaded even at the basic level. Plenty of get up and go but no compromise in gas mileage. Perfect little Suv for the mommy of 2 toddlers or an adventurer resisting limitations!

looks good but quality is not there

had issues with dealer providing info and when purchased it was not what we thought it was going to be, nor were some of the items wanted were not on the vehicle at time of delivery. no customer service and a lot of the jeep dealers were the same way, take it or leave it was the attitude.

Decent Cheap SUV--But Don't Expect Much

I test drove a 2017 Renegade "Latitude" trim level AWD, in search of a replacement for my soon-to-be-turned-in 2016 Jeep Cherokee Limited lease. I was hesitant to consider the Fiat-built vehicle based on Fiat's poor reputation but thought I'd check out what $20,000 would buy in the AWD SUV market. Impressions: The interior was extremely cheap-feeling--especially the seats (is that vinyl? Really?), the dash, radio, etc. Very sub-par--even for a $20,000 vehicle. The surprising factor though was the punchiness of the little 4cyl engine. I figured that vehicle would be a dog compared to the 2.0 Ecoboost in the Escape and the V6 in the Jeep Cherokee. But I was pleasantly surprised, especially in the city-driving test I conducted. Not sure how the top end torque would be (i.e merging on to a freeway from 45-60 mph to the speed limit) but around town this little bugger would probably do OK. The ride is pretty harsh, due to the short wheelbase and height. The engine was noisier than what I've experienced in all the other vehicles I've had in recent years. Utility was decent, as two adults could probably squeeze into the back seats--as long as the front seats were moved forward. Storage beyond that--or with the rear seats folded--is good too, especially the cubic area (height). Exterior styling is boxy but unique. It probably won't appeal to many people but it's "cute", in a sort of way. CONCLUSION: I'd probably pass on buying one of these, although they're currently (Oct, 2018) offering $7000 in rebates in the Detroit area so you could probably score a fairly loaded version for around $20,000 out the door.

The Renegade is an excellent value

The Renegade is an overall excellent value for the class vehicle. The vehicle drives well and is quite comfortable. I initially thought the sport trim then I tried the Desert Hawk and was very impressed. However, this vehicle best value is in the 4wd.
