I found its purpose in life
I can't address reliability, I bought an 18 Latitude 4WD loaded a week ago with everything except the safety package and a sunroof. It had a 31K MSRP and I got it for 23,100. So if you wait value is very good. I live in MT and have a Ram 1500 Outdoorsman 5.7 set up for light off roading, mostly for snow with winch and towing a travel trailer, lights KO2's and the wife has an 18 Cherokee Trailhawk with everything. It is a garage queen but i have plans. I bought the Renegade to save $$ on gas for the daily commute and cut the wear and tear on the truck but still wanted a jeep. So, anyway I have been very pleasantly surprised. The dogs love it. They run to it over the truck. It has their vote. Dogs go everywhere with us. Mileage is averaging 23 half highway half city vs 13 in the truck. The trsnsmission in auto is ALL about mileage and yes there are much better transmissions in auto than the 9 gear ZF but, with it, you do get choices in a jeep and that is where it shines. ALL the reviews tske trailhawk and run it in Moab. Nope, thats not its strength. Why do that? Buy a Rubicon. So, handling is great, and quick, the motor has potential, the 4WD stands out as the difference. So whats it good for? Well the dogs love it and my trip today cemented it. Find a national forest dirt road, put it in sand mode and go. I mean go. It is a beast. I went to Park Lake just south of Helena today and it was awesome, tunes up, windows open, dog heads hanging out slobbering, hitting 55 in a few places, jeep grabbin, brakes perfect, suspension tight, washboard but an observation of road conditions, drift available but I got the dogs so no go, and i realized why this thing existed. What its raison de etre (sic) was. Wow that was fun. Sand mode addresses the mpg oriented bias of the tranny, cuts out traction control, raises the rpm baseline and the pedal responds instantly. A lot of times, you hit certain points in a run where you gotta decide, to either power out or let off. The renegade begs you to push that pedal. It is a jekyl and hyde vehicle and they try to hide hyde. I think sand mode is like an Easter Egg, the engineers hid from the bean counters and marketing pukes. Good on you boys and girls.

love it
I was currently in the market for a new car. i had a 2009 KIA optima that was giving me trouble. I was debating on a SUV or a cross over and let me tell you this jeep renegade is the best cross over to find. I have 4 year old which means i have a big car seat but it fits in the car just fine. My son is tall and he has more then enough leg rove. The car is not to high or low its just right so you dont have to work about jumping up in the car. It can easily fit someone in the car that 6'6 With enough leg room. I'm 5'4 and its a perfect size for me. I didn't want nothing to big so this car was a perfect option. It feels like a big SUV but its not. I rented a jeep Cherokee for a day and it felt like it was the same size of my car from the inside. Im really happy i picked this car. My first jeep and i love it. Its such a mommy car

The newest and reliable car I have ever owned
I love it. When I first test drove it i decided it was the vehicle for me. It may not be my dream vehicle but for now it is the most fitting. My husband did not like it at all and was not happy that I got it however since he first drove it he has actually driven it more than myself and said it's a very nice ride.

Our new family member
When I drive this vehicle it's like I got a new home. I can see all around me. There is so much space in it it's wonderful especially the fold-down seats. And I'm sorry to say I can't keep the mud off of it but it seems to love it LOL!

I drove as a loaner vehicle only had 466 Mi on it
Not much I would never buy one just for the mere fact that it had 466 miles on it and it broke down on me I was stranded for almost 3 hours that was enough to make me say two people don't ever buy one of these
