Finding a good used car !!!! KIA Forte

This car was recently bought and so far so good, Rides nice ,looks great, clean inside and plenty of options.I did a lot of research and found this to be one of the cars to look at and test drive. I checked out over 15 cars and let me say this, try finding a good used car for under $ 6500.00.They either have a ton of miles or there rusted.

Forte Koup ES 6 speed manual transmision

I have this car for more than 5 years. I think I am going to keep it for another 2-3 years. Nothing had failed for this time, just oil, tires and brake pads. It is the most basic Koup but the value for the money is exceptional. The combination of light weight and power for the money is unbeatable. I like being connected to the car through manual gear shifting and I don't think the automatics can beat me in efficiency. The first gear is special - it launches the car from standstill as if it has 250-300 HP. I don't mind that although it took me awhile to learn how to tame this behavior. I wish the 5-th and 6-th were a bit further apart but the high RPM at 75 MPH somehow does not translate to poor gas millage. I get average 32 in the winter (NH) and 35 MPG in the summer with half of the time on a highway. I compared it to my daughter's Lancer 2.0l with CVT and the Koup is making 2-3 MPG better although 3 years older. It has the well known and reliable MPFI fuel injection that does not produce carbon buildup on the valves. The steering is very precise and connected (hydraulic). The suspension is firmer than the regular commuter compacts but not unbearably harsh. I have done numerous 6-7 hours non-stop trips up and down the east coast without much back pain. It's far from comfortable car but again for the money it is just right. I will have hard time finding a replacement when it passes the 200K mark.

It is a fast car!

It was a great car but due to the floodings on our streets I had to trade it in. Although, it was fast car and I enjoyed driving it.

Fun to drive

Car has all you could reasonably ask for in a sport/commuter vehicle. Handled well, good acceleration and well-appointed technology and creature comforts.

Amazing car

I've had this car for about 4 years and it was the first big girl car I bought when I turned 18. I've had absolutely no major issues with it.

Great Car

Gets good gas mileage (I drive 80-100 miles a day). Plenty of trunk space and backseat has good legroom. Car has better pep for getting on highways then I thought it would. Car runs great and I have had no issues other than regular maintenance.
