Great Value For The Money
This was my first "big boy" new vehicle purchase after driving a Ford Escort and Focus. After much research I landed on Kia, primarily for the warranty. While I wanted to buy an Optima, the Forte was the vehicle that allowed me the features I wanted at the price I could pay. I purchased the Forte EX and since have installed aftermarket HID lights as well as remote start (it's MN). The former through a private company and the latter direct through the dealer. The car was purchased in July 2015 so I feel that enough time has passed to write a fairly thorough review. Pros- Stylish - I still find myself gawking at my own car. The overall exterior aesthetic makes the vehicle look much more expensive than it is. Great lines, great flow, and the larger, custom-looking wheels make it look great. Speed- It is a compact car with a 2.0 L 4-banger. It will not with the Daytona 500 but it will get you up to speed quickly on the shortest of on ramps and will cruise at 75-80 all day with minimal whine (again, for a 4-banger), when traffic allows. Gas Mileage- I manage around 30-32 mpg overall in my normal driving which consists of primarily sitting in stop and go traffic M-F. Straight up highway driving I have averaged closer to the 35-37 range, 40 if you go the speed limit ;) Living in MN, warming the car up is a must. In winter driving and warming up, I average around 28 overall. Interior- Much like the exterior, the interior makes the vehicle feel much more expensive than it is. The faux carbon fiber is tastefully done and the overall setup of the "cockpit" makes it very driver friendly. The drive itself is very quiet, not just for a compact car, but overall. Cruising on the freeway with the windows shut and the road noise is the least I have encountered in any compact car and many other vehicles. Space/Storage- The Forte is marketed as a compact car but I swear that I heard somewhere that the overall space in the car technically classifies it as a mid-size. If that is true, I second that. My trunk is big enough for two sets of golf clubs, three if you squeeze them in. The back seats provide enough space for four adults to ride fairly comfortably. While I would not take it across the country fully loaded with four people it is more than sufficient for day trips and various adventures. Cons- Comfort - The vehicle itself is great as a daily driver and no complaints there. Would I take this on an extended trip, probably not. The seats just don't have the comfort and support needed for a long journey. Maybe it is because I am 6'2 so I am definitely nearing the top of the height scale for usability. There are days where I find myself in the stop and go traffic where I am fidgeting trying to find a good position, then again it could just be me getting irritated with traffic and getting antsy. Traction - This is a quasi-con. In auto mode the traction at takeoff is not the greatest which is something that is going to happen to any compact FWD car in MN in the winter. It is quasi-con because the Forte has manual shifting capabilities so most of the spin can be minimized by shifting to the manual mode and starting off in second gear. As you can see the pros outweigh the cons and the cons themselves aren't really all that bad. Overall this vehicle provides a great value for the money and I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a good vehicle at a good price. I cannot definitively comment on reliability as I have only had the car for two years and around 25k miles. No issues yet but the real reliability cannot be measured for a while. I am confident however that with all necessary regular maintenance performed as recommended, there is no reason why this car should not last for many years to come. Did I mention the 100k mile warranty :)

Most reliable car I have owned.
Everything about the car is satisfying except I wish it were better in the snow for traction. The car gets very good gas mileage and performs a smooth ride. The interior is roomy and very comfortable.

All things considered the KIA Forte is a fantastic value. When one considers the outstanding gas mileage this car has, it is tough to beat.

I've been very happy with the Kia's I've purchased
My first one was a used car. Reliable and we got beyond our money's worth. My current Kia was purchased new. Last time I had to rent a car I found out how spoiled I've gotten with my Kia.

Hopefully I'll get one soon!
Been looking/shopping for a Forte5 for a LONG time now and for some reason they are extremely hard to find around where I live. Not sure why Kia isn't promoting this car more than they are, it's spacious, very practical, stylish, handles well, extremely peppy (with the 2.0L engine) and from what I've read so far fairly dependable/reliable. My only gripes are the MPG could be higher and maybe a bigger gas tank.

First but not last Kia
I went and bought a 2015 kia forte 2 months ago. Got it with 12,000 miles on it and the car couldnt be any smoother. Great gas mileage, especially for someone like me who drives alot. The ride is comfertable, comes with bluetooth, great steering. Immediantly fell for the car after i test drove it. My car runs with me and i never have an issue, for sure not my last kia, my best car by far.

Little Engine
Ok, I'm coming out of a 2013 GTI to the Forte5 SX. Is the GTI Zthe better car? Yes. However a 2015 GTI equipped the way my Forte5 is $24,000. My Forte 5 with 22k on the speedometer was $15,400. Is the GTI worth $7,000 more? Not to me. The Forte5 with 201 hp is a fun and eager machine to drive. It is noisy on the highway and does not corner great. The car has a great warranty and is a real looker in Racing Red. Comfortable on long and short rides. Biggest complaint would be road noise. For the money, a great car.
