2013 Kia Optima consumer reviews

I love the double sunroof. The heated/cooling seats are amazing. It's stylish look always has people stopping me telling me how much they like it and can't believe it's a Kia.

I start this off by saying that never in my wildest dreams did I ever consider buying a Kia. When I graduated college it was time to replace my 2001 Grand Cherokee after the tranny went out for the 2nd time. I was moving from Ohio to Florida so I needed something that could not only make the drive but would not break down all the time like my Jeep had. I am a car guy through and through. My "shopping" list of potential cars lead to me to a Kia dealer to look at a 2014 Mazda 6 Grand Touring. I loved the Mazda but with Florida being the sunshine state I did not think getting black on black was a good idea. As I was walking out of the dealer the salesman convinced me to look at a 2013 Kia Optima SXL they had as a recent lease return. I gawked at his suggestion having remembered how horrible Kias of the past were which is well documented in Car and Driver, Road and Track and any other auto reviewer. I flat out refused to even consider it...and then I actually went and saw it on the lot. From the beginning I knew this was in a new league from the Kias of the past. Chrome rims, red brake calipers, beautiful white paint, HID headlights, an easy to use infotainment system, REAL leather seats, heated/COOLED front seats and a panoramic sunroof that outclasses any of the competition... Then I drove it. I was left speechless. To say that this car surpassed any and all of my expectations is an understatement. 30k miles and many 900+ mile trips back to Ohio from Florida it continues to live up to the hype. The ONLY issue I have had is the headunit for the nav had to be replaced due to the previous owners abuse (covered under warranty). This car is leaps and bounds nicer and better value than anything of comparable year. I even think it is nice than my buddy's 2015 3-series (and faster too). I highly recommend these cars to anyone looking for a good, high quality and affordable sedan. Needless to say when I am in the market for another car I will be looking at the new optima before anything else...

Bought this car after taking a picture of it on the lot and did not even notice what kind of car it was....IT WAS JUST SHARP LOOKING......My wife ask me later what kind it was and wanted to see it...well long story short....This is by far the best car I ever owned as of yet and I've had them all makes and models, high end to mid buy....This car is a rocket with the turbo....mine is a 2013 OPTIMA SXL TURBO.....yeah it's a keeper.

Kia Optima SXL Turbo. What a great value! Interior is nicer than most luxury imports. Cant say enough about the peace of mind I have with the 5 year 60k warranty. I would recommend test driving this car and see if you agree! Im sold!

This car is roomy to drive and ride in and still easy to park. The exterior and interior are beautiful and I chose this after driving it awhile to see if I wanted it or a different vehicle. I've driven it out of town a lot, to a few different states and drive it all over town regularly. It is awesome! The ONLY thing I don't like about it is the back seat belts don't have a plastic guard or whatever to hold them up so when we buckle up or attempt buckling in a car seat, we have to hold the buckle to keep it from pushing back into the seat. I was told this was changed in the 2014 or 2015 models!

It handles great. Never had a problem. Regular oil changes and tire rotation. Smooth ride. Nice feature such as back up camera, heated and air conditioned seats, Bluetooth, and dual sunroof.

Love the car its beautiful and fast! Leather sunroof turbo and black Only issue is the visibility is not real great towards the back. MPG is not as high as I would like

Good ride, great on gas mileage and very dependable. I took it on a 1,200 mile journey to Phoenix, AZ. It done great.

This car gets everyone attention. The color stands out like nothing else. Its sporty. Its eco friendly with great miles per gallons. Every picks our car when we go out.

Love the Lumbar and air cooled seats. Love how the seat backs up when I turn the car off. The full glass top is Sexy!
