Kia 2013
Happy with deal I got on this car. For a 2013 it was in great condition with low miles. Solid pick up and many options made it a solid choice.

2013 SXL Titanium White. Premium everything!
Bought new as one year old. 8g off original sticker. Telescopic steering doesn't bring the wheel close enough for best feel. I'm 6'3" and would like my seat adjusted back all the way but having to reach the steering wheel is uncomfortable. OE Hankook tires are among the worst tires I've tried or sold. (Tire sales for 15+ years) Everything else is as expected or better. I'd recommend this car to anyone looking for a sporty 4 door, quick and responsive, very nice styling, luxurious interior.

Not a Winter Car!
I bought my first Kia back in May after my Mazda 6 was totaled and for the most part I like the car. Great power for a 4 cyl, love the heated/ventilated seats, heated steering wheel and panoramic roof and it cruises nicely. What I don't like is the electric power steering. I've seen many complaints about how the wheel 'fights' you and for me, it's occurs at slow speeds. Kia says it's normal but I don't like the feeling of the wheel 'catching' and not responding when it should. My fault for not asking about Electric steering, and I would not have bought this had I'd known. Passengers also complain the seat is too low and while I'm not a passenger, my 5' frame barely sees over the dash in the passenger seat, and it's not adjustable. Worse is I just discovered how horrible this car is in the snow!! I've had FWD, RWD and 4x4's and this is by far the WORSE of vehicle driven in snow. Traction Control is completely useless and I had to drive with it OFF just to slip & slid up and down hills, and this was only 2" of snow.. Living in New England this is a major disappointment. The dealer had put new all seasons on when I purchased, but now I have to fork out over $600 for snow tires - Something I've NEVER bought in my 40+ years of living in NE.

Kia Got the Optima Right - 150K miles or far
I bought a new 2013 Optima EX that I have averaged ~ 42000 miles annually for business travel. This is my second Kia after driving a 2004 Sorento for ~350K miles (still have it and now has 390K). I just hit the 150K mile mark on the Optima so I thought it would be good to write a review. First the good. My Optima has had no mechanical issues so far. None. I have only changed the oil every 5000 miles or so, I've replaced the tires twice, windshield wipers, and just replaced the original brakes. I haven't even had a single light bulb go out. The Interior looks new (heck many claim it still smells new...) and the exterior is holding up well though it does have a few gravel dings on the nose. Can't help that. To me the ride is firm, almost sporty and I find the car, while not a powerhouse is very satisfying to drive, even for hours on end which I often do. I think the 2011-2015 Styling was spot on, and, honestly, while I am sure it is a fine car, I think the new 2016-17 re-styling is toned down to the point of being too generic and boring. That is just my Opinion. Now the not so good. While I have little to complain about on the Optima, my biggest disappointment has been in the fuel mileage expectations. The sticker claims that the Optima can achieve 35 MPG on the highway, which is virtually all the driving I do, but over the life of the car, I rarely see over 31 MPG per tank and my average is probably right at 30 MPG and that is not with any aggressive driving. While I know this may sound like whining and 30MPG is not really that bad, 35MPG was an expectation and I simply don't think it is achievable. I?ve tried. What gets me, though, is that the reported MPG on the dash consistently reports about 1.5 MPG higher than what I actually get. I don?t think that is by chance. Also, my wife thinks that there is a ?Blind Spot? created by the rear pillar and slope of the roof line. While I haven?t noticed it, you may want to check it out for yourself. So, the bottom line is that, for me, the Kia Optima really is a great car. The Korean car brands have not only matched, in many cases they have surpassed most major car brands, even luxury ones, in terms of quality, design and reliability. In general, I get very positive comments on my car. I certainly now hear a lot fewer negative comments like "yeah, but it is a KIA" than I did 10 years ago when I first got my Sorento. Anyone who discounts the brand as cheap or substandard simply is just misinformed. Just look at serious industry reports from groups like JD Power, Consumer reports, etc. It is not a matter of "Hoping" that my Optima will make it to 300K miles, I fully expect it to.

2013 Kia Optima SXL
I like this car a lot and purchased it for $19,100 with 36k miles on it. The car is nice, well built, fully loaded, and has a good warranty. Out of the factory these have a 100k warranty. As a second owner I believe you get a 60k warranty. Be careful and talk to the dealer about it. Has good performance but lacks grip with FWD.

I had to buy a new car...thank God for Optima
My little Honda Civic was totaled in an accident which left me without a car. I love car shopping, hate the thought of a car loan because we have not had one in ten years. Alas. I researched the Toyota Camry, the Honda Accord and the Kia Optima. I am a stickler for price, and I was prepared to fly to Orlando (I live in Minneapolis) to visit a dealer I found online. I ended up buying close to home. I saw an ad for a Kia at the local dealership. It had only 25,000 miles and it was $3,000 less that anything else at the same trim level in this market. I did not want to pay more than $15,000. I saw it online, and then went to the dealership to look at it. The salesperson helping me was interrupted while I was looking at the car so it left me alone with the car for an extended period of time. This car has all the bells and whistles I would ever need. It has heated and cooled front seats, and heated back seats, along with a heated steering wheel, and heated mirrors. I live in Minnesota so I know this will be nice. The side mirrors have a button which fold them in, a feature I now love. It comes with an HD radio and I love, love, love HD radio. It has everything I have ever wanted in a car. The push button start is hard to get used to until you do it a few times. When my wife drives it, sometimes she has to think to push the brake. The car drives as nice as a Camry or Accord. The pickup on the little four cylinder is very nice. It is whisper quiet compared to my old Civic. It is a black car and I actually bought and used wax for the first time in 20 years. The paint job and trim are beautiful. I can't say enough about this car. Any regrets? None. I would buy this car again in a heartbeat.

I have the 2013, Kia optima SX, its a great car, a head turner, I get asked, what kind of car is it. The reaction is always the same wow! what a good looking car. It's fun I have gone to the race track, and it performs very well, surprising many people.

BEST CAR IVE EVER HAD
My 2nd Hyundai / KIA and 3rd year w/this one. LOVE IT. Have had LOTS of complements on how it looks. As to handling & drive-ability: Quiet and fast, it has blown the doors off many other boring sedans on the road. Watch your speed, the SXL turbo will be doing 90 and you wont know it! I am a lead-foot so it averages about 26, 27, but if I cruise HWY and pay attention, it gets 32, 33. Hi-end car wash and synthetic and very good tires make it a head-turning car. I thoroughly enjoy the ride, SAT radio and remote start.
