2012 Kia Sedona consumer reviews

I bought my 2012 KIA Sedona 1 month ago; the day after I bought it, I took it to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. The vehicle had plenty of power to maintain the elevation increase and the handling around curves and corners was superb. The quietness of the interior is excellent and the design is great too. I would have like to see a better center console in the front, but with the extra features I got (auto adjusting brakes, seats and side view mirrors; back-up camera system; navigation system; heated leather seats etc.) I can overlook the minor stuff. The van is extremely roomy for the kids and the third row seats fold all the way into the floor which is excellent for hauling items. The captains chairs are great for the kids and I really like how they set up high. The auto sliding side doors are great and the auto lifting hatch is nice also. Another nice touch is the ability to disable the motors in the sliding doors if you need to simply by a push of a button. The sun roof is a wonderful touch for the winding trips through the mountains. The trim package on the EX is very eye catching. I also like the fact that the Sedona has a 3100 Lb tow capacity on it; now I can take my boat to the lakes and when I get tired, I can resort to the van for a nice nap. The power of the van is great; I really like the pick-up speed it has when entering onto interstates or just traveling. I have the peace of mind knowing that I have the 10 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty also. I paid the little extra for it, but I'm glad I did, just in case I need it one day. Overall, I would recommend this vehicle to anyone with a moderate family lifestyle and who wants comfort, power, beauty and adventure.

I've had my Sedonda EX for 1 month and so far, so good. I got the luxury package with leather seats (easier to clean with young kids) and the remote opener for the hatch, which is very handy. So far, I'm averaging 19-20 MPH with a combination of city/highway driving. The car handles well, has very good pick up for a minivan, and has attractive features. I was glad to be able to get the features I wanted for the price of a relatively stripped down Honda or Toyota minivan. I like the 5-year warranty (and extended it to 10). The seats are very comfortable. The back-up video feature is very nice and the mirrors tilt down so that you can see where your tires are going. This does leave a blind spot, though, so you still need to check over your shoulder for backing. Unfortunately, I recently learned that the back-up warning signal comes on a little late. It would be nice to have some storage between the front seats and maybe something that could make a little table with cup holders between the second row seats (because I've got two five-year-olds riding back there).

priced and drove other minivans before deciding - this is the best. I am useing it as my main vehicle and have no bad experiences to report. would recommend this car for all grandmothers who want a vehicle for personal use & to drive grandchildren on visits.

My 2012 EX is my second Sedona. The new one is absolutely excellent. First trip up north it got 27 MPG. Love the comfort and power.
