2013 Kia Sorento
Vert nice car! Seats seven with the third row! Perfect for large families (without needing to buy a van) or even small families with a few extra kids in tow! Heated front seats are a great plus!

Solid SUV
The KIS Sorento is a nice small to mid-sized SUV with great gas mileage and roomy storage. It sits and ride like a car but gives you some extra height in traffic. GDI engine is peppy enough for most driving and ECO mode doesn't have a noticeable impact on performance. The cabin may feel cramped for larger folks and the back seats are only good for two adults or three kids. Overall satisfied with this vehicle and plan to drive it for several years.

Motor Issues
I bought my 2013 Kia Sorento brand new. I've already had to have the motor replaced because the 4th cylinder blew before 40,000 miles. I now have 74,000 (keep in mind my odometer was not reset when they installed the new motor so it only has about 34,000 miles on it) miles on it and it's starting to knock. Have an appointment to have it looked at again. I've had the oil changed every 3,000 miles since I've had this vehicle. Disappointed!!

Affordable luxury
Because of how affordable Kia is, I decided to go with the SX. I'm so happy with my decision! Even my boyfriend who drives a BMW, and previously owned a Mercedes, was impressed with this vehicle. It's definitely the most comfortable car I've ever had.

Good SUV
Bought it brand new, have had two accidents in it (both not at fault - one was a t-bone hit on passenger side, no airbag deploy, other was a deer hit on driver's front). Both times it was easy to get parts for the car. Only thing to go bad so far was the temp sensor in the transmission, and that was replaced under warranty. On the positive, it has room for all six of my family with relative comfort. Everything is within reach in the car, which is nice. Thought was given to placement of buttons and of design. I was also able to add a tow package with aftermarket parts without any issue due to the fact that Kia had already pre-drilled the holes for it. Additionally, I have only the 4 cylinder, but I feel like I have plenty of power under the hood. Downsides: sometimes the electronic stability control makes it difficult to get out of normal dirt roads with some ruts, as well as muddy roads. Have to turn it off to get the wheels going, but I suppose that's the purpose of it! Also, the seats inside do tend to wear on my back on long trips. Additionally, there is very little in terms of cargo room (have the 3rd row seating). MPG are not as good as advertised, but are within acceptable limits for me.

Saddened
We purchased the 2013 KIA Sorento on June 17, 2016 (36,500 miles). Beautiful looking car. Drove it off the lot and the latch to fold down the seat broke. KIA fixed it (under warranty) but they had to also repair the strap that raised the seat to get to the 3rd row seating in rear. This part had to ordered. Finally 4+ weeks later, the part came in. Scheduled an appointment. Only to have the air conditioning stop working (90 degree weather) the week before the appointment. Took the car for repairs and KIA tells us the head gasket is blown or the block is cracked. Now we have only had the car 7 weeks. There was no anti freeze in the engine (we didn't know). We had NO "check engine lights", NO smoke, NO overheating, NO NOTHING! When the car was at KIA for the 1st repair, they did a wellness check. The paper states there was anti freeze in the vehicle then. KIA, of course, said they cannot believe there were no signs. Oh my, are you kidding? If there was smoke, the vehicle would have been in for repair sooner. Anyway, the car was fully loaded, nice set up, nice ride but we are turning the car back over to the dealer. We wouldn't purchase another KIA. Little shell shocked. Very disappointed.

looks nice, but...
I bought it used with 38000 miles on it. I had it for 4 months and got rid of it. The outside looked nice and I liked how sharp of turns it could make, it warmed up quick in the winter, and handled good on the winter roads. The reason I sold it was because of the engine and road noise while driving it. Another reason was because of the interior lighting. The interior lighting is all red and not bright at all. I had to go off memory what dial or button did what. I could see they were illuminated but it was next to impossible to read any of them which also made it very dark inside while driving, such as trying to find the cup holder and then trying to find a glass or mug again after you set it down. Also the back hatch light could only be operated in the back by manually sliding the switch by the light. I think it would be a perfect vehicle if you only drove it during the day time and didn't want to hear your wife or kids talk while you were driving.
