So disappointed

I initially loved my brand new 2014 Kia Sorento but after noticing a tapping noise from the engine I took it to the dealer and they said it's nothing but changed the oil to see if that helped. Tapping noise persisted and I managed to record it on my phone as proof of the loud irregular noise. They respond and replace the while motor and I get a loaner car that smelled like rotten feet. Besides the smelly loaner (that wasn't their fault, outside company) they responded pretty well to my car troubles. Now a year later the replacement engine is tapping and after calling and calling they will not call me back or help me in any way. Surprisingly enough, my particular model has a recall for engine knock. I'm just disappointed in this model as far as the motor goes. I feel like I should have gone to the Chevy dealership next door.

Won't buy another Kia

I was sold on the hype about Kia being a great car and competing with the Toyotas and Hondas. Just reached 115,000 miles and need a new engine because it blew the head gasket and warped the engine from the heat. 6,400.00 to replace!! Kia won't help with anything because it's just out of the warranty period. Really? Thought these cars were so good!? Cars nowadays should last many more miles than this. They're good if you plan on trading it in before too many miles are on it. Other problem is resale value isn't as good as the other manufacturers. So, no thank you. Never again.

Good solid SUV

2014 runs good. On a cold day it has a slight miss till it warms up. Second Sorento I have owned. Once the miss is corrected I will be 100% happy.

46k and still purring

After three years and 46,000 miles, this Sorento still runs like the day I bought it, been reliable and, living in Minnesota, has proven it's awd capabilities! I drive every day and have yet to get it stuck!

Mostly Good

My only real issue with the vehicle is that in bright sunlight the speedometer needle is hard to locate as it is an electronic type and the sun washes it out.

the best reliable car owned

excellent handling, great visibility, and great mileage, in spite of a very stiff ride which is unacceptable for a 2011 model.

Battery problems

After buying this vehicle in December 2013, we were at a time happy with it. Within 6 months we had a dead battery, the Dealership replaced it with a "better battery". Now just over one year of replacing it, we are having the same issues. Our car is driven every day, and about 13000 miles a year. I am becoming concerned with KIA. I guess the good thing is that we live near the Dealership and they have always given us quick service..
