My vehicle is currently down , the engine went out and the car dealership says there are no recalls on it. Purchased extended warranty and they will not touch the vehicle until the dealership fixes the recalls. It hardens my heart cause I have to pay a car note and the dealership will not honor there part. My engine burns oil like crazy I get an oil change and a week later I have to put three quarts in again. Went to the dealership and no one wanted to help me told me to drive two hours away to another dealership . My vehicle wouldn’t even go 40 miles per hour. Now my motor is gone and I’m stuck .

I have owned a 2017 Sorento LX V6 for almost 7 years now.
I have owned a 2017 Sorento LX V6 for almost 7 years now. Just about to hit 94k miles and it runs as quiet as the day I bought it. I have driven all over the country and Mexico. Never had any issues. I do oil changes every 7500 miles and I have never had any oil loss. I have had family members buy Kias because of how solid ours has been. My most recent trip was with 4 adults and 500 lbs of luggage through 5500 miles and averaged 27.8 mpg. I plan on keeping it for at least another 7 years!

2017 Lemon Sorrento
Purchased a 2017 Sorrento and within 2 weeks was in shop to address recalls. Then after getting it back was in dealer again to air sensor issue. Then back again to replace engine from knock sensor testing and car not driving. Following that less than a month back loses power again and need to spend 1000 to replace the throttle and battery to address car losing power always & forever it driving. At this point want to get out of financing on this car but stuck. Unreliable.

Bad design
I had all the recalls and now when I give it gas it hesitates, and when it give it gas on the interstate or highway to pass a car there is a smell like something is burning coming through my vents. And today my hatch quit latching and I have an extended warranty which they say might not cover the repair. Oh no!

Dead engine at low mileage
Magicly disappeared oil every month without staining the driveway or the car. It has the capacity to be zero on oil and not give any dashboard signs or smell that is burning it like a drunken sailor. A perfect design of ingenious kind to have a dead engine in less than 80,000 miles.

Great car
In 6 years I’ve had one problem. Fuel pump issue at 65k miles. Otherwise, the car is always reliable and and handles all situations well.

Good car, but...
We have had our 2017 sorento for about a month. The interior space is amazing. Its a very comfortable suv with a pretty decent ride. The bad- i noticed recently when going up hills it makes a chatter noise. Luckily we still have some warranty left, but a car with 60k miles should not be having Engine issues, especially when it just had a full refresh before purchase. It sounds like valve noise honestly. Also the lack of led lights really ruins the car. Replacing all interior lights with led is a must. The headlights are dim holagen bulbs. Swapping for led is possible with the projector housings, but you risk getting a bulb out code. Led lighting should be standard on any vehicle.

Oil consumption on 2017 Sorrento not good
My wife's 2017 with under 85000 miles is losing oil. Oil consumption test showed 2.5 quarts oil consumed in 1000 miles still have eight hour test! Can't afford this vehicle

Limp Mode
I am having an issue with the car being in limp mode. I am not sure if it is a recall issue going to call tomorrow and take it to the kia dealership. I am going to request to have the vehicle placed on the dx machine to find out what is wrong with it. Thanks
