2018 Kia Stinger consumer reviews

I've owned my Stinger GT2 for 9 days. I'm in my third childhood. My first performance car was a 1964 GTO. The Stinger is everything I'd dared hope for. The most pleasant surprises are the comfortable ride & quiet cabin. And the performance is amazing. The best compliment is from my wife who prefers rugged. She owns a Toyota FJ. She loves everything about the Stinger, but especially its looks.

First time purchasing a Kia. We were in the market for a replacement for our Accord and had also considered a new Mazda6 as well. We wanted something that would fit me, my wife, our 4yr old and our stuff for a long weekend+, not be a crossover, and have somewhat sporty driving characteristics. I'd seen articles on the development of the Stinger and was aware of Kia's growing reputation, so my wife agreed to go to the dealership. We drove their Optima SX, then Niro, and they were pleasant enough, but then we looked at a Stinger and she drove first. The 1st thing she said as we got in was, "This is a KIA?!" and then we started driving. She said she didn't want me to drive it because she loved it and knew it was already game over. The car handles like a true Gran Turismo--firm, but supple suspension, precise steering and actual feedback, and excellent ride quality. Doors "thunk" closed with authority, and fit and finish is excellent. Even though we got "just" the base model the standard feature list is impressive, and of course there's the 10yr powertrain warranty. But even the base 2.0 has enough grunt to put a smile on our faces and, well...just look at it! For the price we would have paid for a Touring spec Accord, Camry XLE, or Mazda6 GT, we instead took the chance on a new model and are so far very happy to be first adopters of this impressive new car--full stop. Yup, it's a Kia, and yes it is awesome!

I love my new Stinger... I think that Kia left nothing to chance in the debut of a whole new Style of car. They really studied the competition that the stinger has to compete with. I would imagine that it is really tough to know just how much to push the performance part of a new offering over the comfort factor... I am 56 years old and I kinda like both! I find the stinger well balanced with all things. Only time will tell if I have made a wise choice of the Kia stinger... But out of the box... She is a very beautiful and very quick and responsive car.

This car has the power of anything on the road. Its comfortable ride is amazing yet in a second it will move fast to meet your needs. Truely a fun car to drive.

The new Stinger represents a significant (positive) change for KIA. Fit, finish, performance, and looks all significantly exceed what has previously been offered by KIA.

This car has the feel of a luxury vehicle, drives very smooth, yet has amazing power and is very sporty. It is so fun to drive. It has all of the latest technological advances, choice of driving modes, paddle shifters, launch control, heads up display that shows the speed limit of each road and displays navigation directions, heated and cooling seats, heated steering wheel, driver assist and warnings. The Harman/Kardon sound system is awesome as well.

Awesome Car in every category. It looks great, drives great, goes like a rocket and is super comfortable. All functions are simple to use and work flawlessly. What a super car. The Germans are in big trouble.

I have bought about 25 new cars in my life and this is by far the most fun one to drive I have ever bought. Great performance, cool body style and great gas mileage make my Stinger a joy to drive.

This car turns heads, I love the new design it attracts a lot of attention. It is quick (Stinger GT1) comfortable , and fun to drive. I highly recommend this car.

The car is new to the market and one of the first ones out on the street. Everyone looks and takes notice. Ride is smooth and comfortable, and layout of everything is great.
