Dynamic car.
I've leased 4 lexus vehicles over the past 12 years. I just had the 2017 Kia Cadenza Technology PKG for the past 2 years. Loved that car. But this Stinger has left me speechless thus far. If you're thinking about buying one. You will not be disappointed.

The Stinger is a Death Trap
I leased a 2019 Stinger GT after turning in my Optima a year early. I leased the car on 12/18/18. Within the first 30 days my rear defroster made a popping noise and shorted out. I took it back to the dealership and they supposedly fixed the issue. On May 14th on my way into work the car made the same noise. I called the dealership to have it looked at again. I got into my car after work, within a few minutes I could smell smoke and pulled over on the side of the highway. I opened the hatchback to see the rear defroster compartment melted away and then flames shot out of the hole. Within 4 minutes the car burned down to the frame. A formal investigation was completed with my insurance company, Kia, and the NHTSA. Kia accepted responsibility for the fire. They bought the car back from the insurance to hide a fatal flaw in the car. After weeks of failing to return numerous calls and emails to Kia attempting to understand what the next steps are, we finally received a call stating that they were willing to reimburse us for the contents in the car- WHICH THEY HAVE to do. After several more phone calls and emails, a supposed manager named Jeff C. contacted us (of course they have no email address, last name or phone number). After going back and forth he offered to refund us the $2000 we put down on the car only 5 months earlier stating it was the cost of ownership! After asking we found out that if we accepted, we would have signed off our rights to any future actions. The fire department told me the only thing that saved my life was that I can a full tank of gas so it did not blow cause of the lack of fumes. I was minutes away from picking my 6 year old daughter from school. The fire started right under where her booster seat was. Do not buy this car as it can easily kill you.

It’s Fantastic
Look out there’s a new Sherriff in town and it’s name is Kia! Who would think they could build such a fabulous car. My 2019 Stinger GT line 2.0 has been flawless so far Ride, handling, comfort and a decent 255 hp with all wheel drive, I want for nothing but a sunroof ( not a deal breaker) Gas mileage age rivals my old Accord I was looking for something stylish , fun to drive and didn’t break the bank. Shockingly was a Kia! I drooled over the GT when it came out it just didn’t fit the budget and was more car than I needed. The 2.0 GT line fits to perfection, with a large hatch area that when the seats are down becomes almost SUV like in storage If you can’t tell, l love this car. Drive it, you won’t be disappointed

It is what I wish my last three cars could've been
My last three cars were all 2016 models - a base Infiniti Q50 awd drive that I modified/and had tuned on an all wheel drive dyno.. I had a base manual 6spd Hyundai Genesis Coupe that I added a cold air intake and I traded a Camaro SS2 that I had added a K&N cold air intake for my Stinger. In hindsight the Genesis was a special car, but I had to have an "alpha" platform car, I had mainly been studying Caddys - CTS Vsport and ATS V coupes and sedans. The Camaro had better seats then the Genesis (base seats not very good in Genesis), but in the end the Camaro was not anymore comfortable, and mine had the magnetic ride control option. Now I have the Stinger GT1 awd, and no regrets, it incredibly comfortable and it has not seemed to sacrifice any performance. Its the best car I have owned yet, a lot more fun to drive, confidence inspiring, and feels more connected in its handling. Its heavier and quicker (feels like a rocket and scrolls the scenerey) than my Camaro was... it was suppose to hit 60mph in 3.9 seconds, but the best I ever got was 5.2 seconds. The Stinger Gt awd is about 4.7sec, or possibly quicker, and it feels amazing! Hopefully the car holds up well, as its currently seems to good to be true...! I do not miss the Camaro or others... this is the car for me. (BTW this awd works differently than the Infiniti and much more rear drive bias/sporty feeling. I claim this car to be my "baby GTR"!) Thank you Kia!

Tech makes up for less refinement than Audi
Was coming from a 2011 Audi S4, and cross-shopped this with an Alfa Romeo Giulia. Despite the Alfa leasing substantially better, I decided the Stinger GT was the way to go, especially given it's 'exotic' status...they don't sell enough for this to be a household name, and if you replace the KIA Badges it gets a ton of looks. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR IF YOU DO NOT WANT ATTENTION! I'm 2000+/4 months into ownership and these are my only true complaints: - Not as refined at speed (floatier than my Audi, louder, and less agile during high speed turns - They should really replace the 8-Speed Auto with a DSG...shifts aren't as smooth or fast as I'd like (my last 3 cars were stick-shifts, so this could be a personal problem) - Carplay gets really static-y at times - Navigation doesn't project onto driver's screen between the speedo - Back doors do not have proximity key - No built-in mounts for roof rack - Paint quality is not as strong as my Audi (already have a couple of rock chips) - Overdramatic front park-distance control sensors (they can flatline for absolutely nothing) - Dealer Network: Kia Dealers are hit/miss...many don't even have loaner cars Overall, these shortcomings are all made up for in the technology you get! I'd fully recommend if you are looking for something a little less mundane and common as a BMW or Audi.

Rivals my boyfriends Audi A4 and look cooler too.
i just bought my Stinger this weekend andso far I absolutely love it. All the "car guys" at work approve, and my boyfriend now wants to take my car wherever we go. I think he likes the attention it draws and believe me it definetly draws attention. Im hoping with the AWD it handle these tough midwest winters well that remains to be seen but so far its easily handled all the speed, curves and steep hills we have thrown at it.

Coolest and smartest car I’ve ever owned
This car has everything I want. Power, safety. Great look and the comfort of a luxury car but look and drive of a sports car. It looks as good as a high dollar car like a Lexus, but more affordable. So many safety features and a beautiful sexy look! I love the way it handles and drives.
