2011 Land Rover LR2 consumer reviews

I absolutely love this car!! Bought mine used, but garage kept, and it has not disappointed me. There was some damage to the interior, but the overall function is supreme. This car also has the speed, capability and reliability anyone needs, and it was very affordable.

I’ve owned this car for about a year now, I bought it used at 70,000 miles or so and I have yet to have a major problem. Gorgeous interior for the price paid, and the year made. Only thing I do not appreciate in this car is the gas mileage, and the sound system. Gas mileage is somewhat lousy for a straight 6 engine. The included sound system is a very nice alpine, the complaint is with the auto bass protection system. Once you start bumping bass heavy music the system automatically turns itself down noticeably. I’m sure it’s meant to protect the speakers, but it’s more of a nuisance than anything. One of the larger complaints I noticed about other reviews is the acceleration. Again, it’s a straight 6 naturally aspirated engine. I wouldn’t expect 0-60 in under 7 seconds with a straight 6 lugging a 4200lb car. Considering it’s weight and engine design it feels fast, and top speed on the highway is no issue. The suspension is air ride and adaptable to terrain. Rides beautifully on the highway as it stiffens up with speed. Overall really nice car.

Just right size, solid plenty of pep, smooth transmission, great visibility, ice leather on the lux, easy on the road, fun to drive off road

I had a small issue with the fuel rail pressure sensor, but it's not that expensive and it's easy to replace, but overall the car is impressive, luxurious comfortable, looks compact and drives great on sand. I highly recommend this specially for long trips, you can drive 200-500 km a day comfortably no back pain no numbing also it has great sound system and couple of other options that are cool to have

It's not to big or some. Perfect for me. Love the interior and the exterior. Drive very well in the rain. If you never experienced a Land Rover you might want to check it out. Love it!!

So excited that I was able to afford to purchase this car. It is just what I was looking for in a high quality SUV

Update on 2011, now with 107,000 miles. I do my own oil changes and replaced the spark plugs. Both very easy to do. My mechanic changed the drive belt and idler pulley. (which was not easy, but $350 ). Brand new Cooper tires, and I'm ready to keep rolling. There has been a couple of hiccups along the way (previous post) , but I still recommend it. The trick is with most of these kind of cars is finding a good mechanic and only going to the dealer when really needed.

This car battles weather like no other. I'm at 106k and still going strong. Maintenance can be pricey but it isn't difficult to do yourself.

Car meet all my needs. Great in Gas. Great family car. Will battle any weather with no problem. You cannot go wrong with Land Rover Brand.

I have owned an LR2 for the past 5 years and love this car! It handles great in bad weather and even does great on the beach. No mechanical problems at all. I'm completely sold on the brand.
