Wow!!!

Maserati is amazing to drive!!! The car is quick and fast while more impressive braking. Accelerating through curves is solid and confident.

I don't get it

I own three cars and rent others regularly for business. This car replaces a 3 year old BMW 535. The technology and ease of use of the BMW far surpasses the Maserati. Example. Go to Dunkin Donuts, buy a cup of coffee and try to put it in the cup holder. IT DOESN'T FIT! The dealer said something like "oh yeah, Maserati says that Italians drink smaller sups of coffee" . Now I feel better. In a 15 mile trip to the gym, the nose of the car bottomed out 3 times. On wet pavement, my tires spin out every time I accelerate (not fast) from a stop. Again yesterday, I wanted to turn down the heat on my seats. It took 4 taps on the screen to accomplish it. Earlier in the day, it took 5 taps on the screen to get past the intro warning message since the screen wasn't responding. If i dial a call from my phone, the car does not automatically pick up the call as happens with every other car. Instead, i have select on my phone to send it to the car and then tell the car to take over the call. And I'm supposed to be driving. It's a joke. But the car is beautiful.

Maserati Ghibli SQ4: Half Luxury Half Sports Car

The other day I was able to check out the Maserati Ghibli SQ4 and went for another test drive. Back when they first hit the showroom floor I did the same thing. This time after taking the wheel, I went and looked at the others (BMW, Mercedes, Audi) which are all for sale on the same street. I then realized why many folks wirte about the Germans and it came to me. There are simply more (way more) folks that own these German cars vs the Italian cars. With that being my benchmark, I put the reviews aside from the "Professionals" and bought me one and have not looked back, aside from a glance now and then in the rear view mirror.

Italy Wins: Maserati Ghibli SQ4

Over the past couple years the little tweets that have been made on the Maserati Ghibli SQ4 clearly place this stunning work of art in the front row of the theater. A crossover between sports car AND luxury with good power and elegant looks make the Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Cadillac look a bit overvalued. I'm sure that all of the above are better at something vs the Maserati. However, the problem the Ghibli is very good at everything. As a complete package, one could easily make the argument the Maserati wins in most all areas. The Men's Journal just came out with their new review on the 2017 model.

danger, don't buy.

danger, don't buy. had the car for two weeks. Engine started stalling out and driving in a jerky tight motion. Car has been in the shop for the last two months and looks like it'll be another 3 to 4 weeks. Had no luck calling customer service at Maserati USA. they still can't figure it out. Obviously this is affected the value of my car. Would stay away unless you want to have the same bad experience.
