Mazda 3 test drive

I had researched before I drove. The car was loaded for it's price point. This would be an auto for my son who will soon be age 16. It is practical, efficient, safe, yet practical enough to appeal to a young person. Technology was tops.

Zippy fun car to drive

A Mazda 3 4 door sedan is a spots car in disguise. It has the SkyActive engine 2.5 and feels like it has a turbo, gets 30 mpg around town. Mazda one fault is not installing Apple Play as standard. Dealer is expensive to install so I recommend a third party install.

Terrible Customer Service

My car received a ticket in Maryland because of the dealership license plate bracket advertisement THEY put on my car without asking. The representative at Mazda's corporation said we don't take care of our customers when we cause any undue financial burdens. I called the head customer service of Mazda (after I called the dealership) because I wanted them to be aware of the police ticket burdens they're causing their customers. I wanted them to send a memo to all their dealerships to change their practice of putting items on vehicles that could cause a potential $70 ticket (MD law TA 13-411(C1)). As a consumer, I only deal with businesses who take care of their paying customers. Since the Alexandria VA Brown's dealership put license plate brackets on ALL their vehicles without asking, then the police ticket issued because of the Dealerships actions, should be fully taken care of by the dealership. The lical Mazda dealership has not responded to my emails on this situation to date. I expect Mazda to own up to their neglect of state laws & pay out their "petty cash" account for ALL fees caused by their actions. I'll be going to court as soon as a court date is issued & I expect the dealership to pay for my money spent to fight a case I didn't have any actionable hand in doing.

Fun and reliable car

I got the Touring model and I love it. Very peppy and reliable. These cars are made well. I get 38 MPGs on the highway in my 2.5 engine. This is very good for this car. It's a good mix of sport and comfort. You get all the basic and some extra options that you need. I just wish the navigation came preloaded on it .

Very nice

This car serves me very well at this time. Runs well, acceleration is good, and braking is good. The Black metallic paint looks awesome, too!

Excellent car

Far better than the 2019 Toyota I rented. Performance, MPG, comfort are all excellent. Seats are great My only complaint would be the lack of interior storage

Just bought it, so we'll see...

I really can not attest to reliability since I just bought it. I wanted the fun drive of the Mazda. It is fun. I also wanted comfortable, power seats. They are mostly comfortable, but I wish the seat bottom adjusted separately. I can't adjust the front edge of the bottom seat. I hope I find a comfortable place as I experiment. It is louder than the 2019 I test drove. But finding a car with less than 10,000 miles, seems worth a little more noise, for a lower price. Overall, I like it better than the Corolla and the Civic. And the seats are more supportive than the Prius I crashed and needed to replace. No car is perfect.
