It’s a Panzer tank
I have 398,000 plus miles on mine. Bought new and still has original transmission. Run mid level gas since 2003. Mileage on highway at 70 mph ranges 28-29 mpg

Almost 20 years and still continues to give
Bought this car with 49k CPO in spring '05 -- I still have this car fall '23 with 265k. Gas mileage is just as good as anything present-day with a V8 and AWD. There will be issues related to emissions that will come up, but they're both relatively simple to resolve (EGR valve on the top of the engine and charcoal evap canister behind RR wheel well), so long as you have a day to deal with them. I also replaced all of the rotors and pads myself back in summer '21 (first time since '10). If it wasn't for the body rust, I'd keep this thing forever. I might just keep driving it and replace body panels. This car runs like a top and never left me stranded. I did have to replace the CPS back in '17 and idler pulley in '16, as well as blower motor in '18 as well. What would you expect in a car that's over 20 years old? The AC doesn't run, so I'll need that looked at -- realistically, I use the car to go around town. It is amazing, I love it still!

Best Merc
Except for the rust problem, the best car I have ever driven including newer fancier Mercs. After owning a w210 for a couple of years, I got a Ford for fuel efficiency concerns. I sold it in one week. Even it was consuming comparable with a Merc. Totally scam. I got another w210. It drives like a dream. I'm not planning to sell it and am super careful about stupid drivers for possible accidents. Probably it will die with me.

A land yacht
2001 I received from a relative in 2018 . It has 158,000 currently and drives like a dream. The rear windows will break if you even think of using them and random electrical issues happen every once in a while but the engine , drivetrain and body are rock solid. It’s more like a yacht than a car . A bay cruiser cutting though the wind. I love it!

Good car
Sucked when something that is like a crack in the tranny like I had that stopped me from keeping it. And take forever resetting computer.

Quiet, smooth, fast, 4WD, timeless styling!
The old '88 190E was rusting below fenders and finally needed engine rebuild after 203,000 miles, so reluctantly replaced it with this 2001 E320 @ 45,000 miles 8 years ago, now 90,000 and counting. Not too big, not too small. Nimble in traffic, easy to park; 4MATIC grips the tarmac like a tank at all speeds. Very confidence inspiring. 221 hp V-6 handles positioning with ease on the interstates, loafs silently along, 2800 rpm in 5th gear @ 80 mph. 27 mpg averaging 75 mph. Only problem: after 19 years, rubber booties in drive train and steering rack, also left head gasket, had to be replaced, and driver's side rear window regulator broke. Electronic capabilities very close to today, lots of sensors, comprehensive, no nonsense intelligence, including oil level, mpg, travel times, miles left in the tank, etc. Minimal rust behind radiator from road salt. Finish still shiny, headlight covers not fogged. Luv it 100%. Current value around $3000, so I'll keep it! :)

Most reliable car.
This car met all my needs. It has plenty of leg room, is very comfortable to drive, and to drive in, and can accommodate more than it looks.
