Buyer Beware. The vehicle is not to be trusted.

I so wanted to love this car. The styling, the shape, the craftsmanship, the interior the road feel, the pickup of an EV--- but 5 months into the lease it went downhill. First was error message that sensors had deactivated. While everything came back to normal while driving within a few minutes, took it to the dealer who "calibrated the sensors." It happened a second time. Dealer said "needed firmware update." Now a third time and accompanied by the dreaded "turtle mode." Seems to be common in Mercedes these days. The car throws an error messge and chimes. "Greatly reduced power." A turtle icon appears on dash. Car is then limited to 2200 rpm. It can happen even when driving on the freeway at high speed and immediately kick down to 30-35 mph. Other owners of even other Mercedes models report similar issues, generally attributed to a software glitch. I can no longer trust the vehicle and will be initiating buy-back under the NJ Lemon Law. Deeply disappointed with the car and the brand (my 4th Mercedes).Headed back to BMW.

First All Electric Car

We got our EQB 300 with Pinnacle trim in September and we love it. It is easy to drive and has excellent performance for our needs. You can drive this car with one foot and rarely have to apply the brakes until you need to stop. Handles well at high speeds.

Almost 5 stars.

Two weeks after purchasing the car I had to do a road trip from NYC to DC. I stopped twice to charge. Once in Delaware and during a rest stop in Maryland they had free charging so I thought “might as well.” I could have made it to my destination in DC with just one stop. The car is comfortable, responsive and fun to drive. The reason I don’t give the car the full 5 stars is the range. I was told the range was 242 miles. I have charged it to 100% only once because manual says not to charge more than 80% to preserve battery life. If the range of this vehicle was 300+ miles I would give it a 5 star review. As range gets better, I can see myself trading it in in 2-3 years.

EQB is it really good?

Just got eqb300 a few days back. Yet to put it to real test. The drive is smooth and there seems to be plenty of power available with the way it picks up speed. But the range was informed as 240 miles and we are seeing a range of only 198 miles with full charge. The sales person said it would improve with driving but if it does not there could some real problem. The interiors are impressive and the cargo space is good. A compact SUV that gives a good drive and feel but the rear seat passengers may find it a bit bumpy.

A Great All-Around Luxury EV SUV

With owning car for just 3 weeks, I can definitely say that I am impressed. From the point of view of fit and finish, quality of materials, handling and build, it is all Mercedes. It is delivering slightly above advertised range, but imagine that range will decrease in the winter. I am not 100% sold on the boxy styling having come from GLC and GLE SUV's but it feels roomier than a previous GLC we've owned. Even in ECO mode, it has excellent pick up. I wish it had the next-generation MBUX infotainment system found in the EQE/EQS models and I think the lease residual at 51% for 36/10,000 is too low a percentage creating a higher lease payment than ICE models. However, its price is not that much higher than comparable EV's making it a good value for the features it offers and the quality of its build. Ride is quiet and smooth even at highway speeds. I am surprised that the run-flat 18" tires give a very smooth ride. Buyers of this or any EV should definitely be wary of the two years of Electrify America free charging. Chargers are often broken. There could be waits at prime times. And EA often does not deliver the charging speed it claims. With all of these caveats, I am very pleased with the car. I would highly recommend it and it is a pleasure to drive.

Great all electric SUV

I just turned in my GLC 300 for the EQB 300 4MATIC, and I just love this car. It glides so quietly and has a lot of power and speed. Comfortable and safe to drive without gasoline bills.

There can be only one EV midsize

I can only describe this EV in one way. It is absolutely fantastic. Handles like a dream. It’s the best best suv I’ve ever driven. Thank you Mercedes Benz
