Stylish, comfortable and safe.

I think the vehicle is gorgeous, I feel very safe inside. I was replacing a Mercedes that was totaled in an accident, leaving me unhurt. Feeling safe was important to me. Having a vehicle that protects you when you need it is important.

Luxury Ride with few flaws

I had this car as a ten day loaner while my GLA was having work done. I drove it over 900 miles through construction zones, snow and sunny weather in Colorado. The good points are is that it is roomy, comfortable and with a suspension to die for. My favorite things were the suspension which cuts the tops off all bumps and road imperfections and an amazingly quiet pleasant ride. I drive for sales work 150 miles or more per day and these two things are important. I was sitting in a parking lot when one of the annoying car alarms went off about 150 feet away with the beeping horn. I rolled up the windows and could barely hear it. My next favorite thing was the engine. The power seemed perfect to me. I got as high as 34-35mpg on Hwy w AWD but not for long. Around 29-30mpg was best I could do sustained and if you use the gas much or with heavier traffic it quickly drops to middle 20’s. Accelerates beautifully, with very predictable response for a two ton vehicle. I love dual clutches. The flaws. 1. The window shade is too short for the side window. My drive involved sun in the morning and evening drives on my side and there is no extension or slide and leaves 1/3rd of window uncovered. The second is that the touch pad in the console takes up about 60% of the available space. The car has a touch screen and brilliant controls on the wheel. I have two cells, Biz cards, drinks and lots of things to store in the center. They could ditch the pad and have phone slots or even an iPad slot, USB ports and more for family or work utility. The console is stylish and mostly useless. The ports are buried in the center storage with no space for the cords really. Silly. Put ports up front and places for cells. That’s really basic in envelope the cheapest of cars, nowadays. However, I enjoyed my time and really it seemed like a ton of luxury and brilliant small things I did not list for the price. I tend towards smaller and sportier like the GLA but the GLC was really an amazing luxury ride and just nicely floats you down the highway with no performance shortcomings. I really recommend it if this is the size and type of vehicle you’re interested in. The engineering and beautiful interior is really a cut above and I drive LOTS of different vehicles to compare it to.

First SUV I've owned

Excellent - loving the experience of an SUV car for the first time. It's is quiet, comfortable, lots of new gadgets I have to figure out - but the Foothill dealer staff are there to instruct me as needed. Love the car.

Dare to Compare

People will often give a person flack about owning a Mercedes thinking its a luxury vehicle. It is, but the price in comparison to a new say, F150 is no different and the added value, amazing. Check it out, you too can have an affordable luxury vehicle without being wealthy....see for yourself. #Value
