The 500sl is a masterpiece of engineering , perhaps over engineered , owned it for 15yrs no reliability issues at all , ready for another 15yrs.

Most neat 380SL around town in my opinion.

I always had a blast driving this car joyriding it. I wish I can keep it but I have no space for it. It was always kept clean, taken care of, and it seldom gave me any problems. This car is a joyride to heaven.

I own one..15years. Styling: 20 years ahead of its time. Reliability Sucks! Maintenance costs HIGH!

This car is a great example of German engineering! Great ride, good response, great design interior and exterior. A fun car to drive!

Outstanding SL

Had seen many SL's and most were beat up or needed work done to it. I brought my car off a private seller who had meticulously looked after it. The price I paid was reasonable and pretty muchhalf what the dealers were asking for. There are some minor things I need to do, but its better than overhauling the engine.
