Sporty, chic, and reliable

This car is surprisingly good on gas and gives a sporty but smooth ride in style. There is no better way to get around in Florida. Put the top down and forget your going to work.

Very cool car to drive

It is a classy and peppy sport coup. I find, despite its size, there is a lot of headroom. The sound system is not good though and if you want to update it to an aftermarket system good luck: requires a complete rewire.

Fantastic roadster

Great car, very comfortable for a sports car and with plenty of power when you need it! Retractable convertible hard top is smooth, fast and super convenient for the warm weather.

Good as new for half the price!

I love this car, but I'm just not home to drive it. I don't have to sell, but would like to see it go to a good home. This is your chance to buy a car as good as new for half the price.

Very fun car to drive

Previously I owned an SL550. When it was totaled out because of an electrical fire in the trunk I decided to look at the SLK model. while it is not the car that my SL was, my SLK 280 serves my needs quite well. It is my fun car. I use it for weekend road trips and just joy rides when the weather is nice. It has a lot of scat and sounds cool when you tromp it. I love the looks of the car and often get complements when I drive it. I am very satisfied with my choice to buy my 2008 SLK 280.

Not for a large family

Would keep this car forever if I had a place to keep it. It has features found on no other car. For instance, there is a pump to circulate coolant through the heater so you can sit in comfort in 30 degree weather with the motor off for about 40 minutes and not have to run the engine. In addition to heated seats, it blows almost instant warm air on the back of your neck from the headrest. This is a cold weather dream. Hard top is just the push of a lever and the car goes and the up and down in 20 seconds. Only thing lacking is a huge trunk (which would look stupid, of course, on a neat little sports car). Easy to park, easy to drive. Have had it for years. Hating to give it up but planning to go for one vehicle instead of two so we need a little SUV.

Don't take it to Costco

Love the car. One of our fave things is the heater will heat the car for about 40 minutes while sitting in a line waiting for a ferry without starting the engine. (a no-no in ferry lines.)

Hardtop with Manual Transmission is the Best

The hardtop convertible is the way to go when living in Oregon. In just a few seconds the top is up or down. Mercedes manual transmission is smooth and much better than the unintelligent automatic. Also the manual transmission can be easy changed at home in an hour for $20, unlike the automatic that must be taken into the dealer for a $500 flush.
