A timeless beauty. Looks like new 20 years later!

This car has met my needs and turns heads everywhere I go with it. Very unique car. I can drive for months without seeing another one on the road.

its turning into a classic

I got my VR-4 about 10 years ago. I love the thing, but it does have its share of issues. The weak transmission and the lifter ticker are probably the 2 biggest issues with the car. Also when the drive train was designed I think they did not care about the people who will have to service the car down the road. The exterior styling is great, especially because the car is about 17 years old and still looks modern. The rear quarters tend to get rust, I have seen it on mine, and noticed it on many others. Except for that the body is solid. The interior is ahead of its time, not to great by current standards but in 1995 I am sure it was probably rivaling the Bentley and other high end vehicles. The rear seats are pretty much useless, the hatchback makes the trunk fairly large. Performance is great, the twin turbos and AWD set this car apart from anything that was on the road back then. I can still keep up with the current mustangs but you can start to feel the difference 15 years or technology makes when you go up against the new camaro or a modified mustang. Overall I love the car, its fast and fun. The AWD keeps the car tight on turns and gives the driver the extra control that you do not have in traditional RWD sports cars. Just have some money set aside if you are thinking about getting this car, it does have issues that can be expensive to fix, also it doesn't help the car is becoming rare and rare usually means expensive hard to find parts....

Amazing car

Amazing car, after testing this car to the limit on a major track I would trust this car not only with mine but my familys lives. The only problem I see with this vehicle is the ugly tan interor that somehow gets put in someway in every model. No major recalls on the base model.

Still Hot After a decade

If you are looking for something a little different than the norm and want a weekend warrior...then this is a great option. Hard to find these cars today, but certainly worth the effort and the cash. With some modifications you can make a real beast out of these cars or keep it stock and you still have a fun ride. Hands down one of my favorite rides of the last 10-15 years with all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, and stock 320hp. A bit on the heavy side and repairs can get costly, but IMO worth every dollar.

Good Time to Buy

The Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is sure to please. It's a silent sleeper which will suprise most who get the chance to drive one that's been well cared for. Lots of opportunities for modifications yet still a perfect weekend warrior for the novice. Certainly a car way ahead of it's time, and still able to hold it's own among cars double or triple the price. It is also getting harder and harder to find them which is making it more unique than your typical sports car. On the downside, repairs can get costly and it's a heavy ride. After owning 3, I can honestly say all were better than average reliability and a great sports car worthy of your efforts and cash. Happy driving.

It was a good car.

This car is very cool looking and is a fun car to drive, however the comfort is not bad but is what is expected from a sports car. Although Mitsubishi does not have the best reputation, the 1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT is fairly reliable. There were some interior rattles. Over all it is a good car.

Nice Racer.

The VR-4 edition is no joke, turbo charged 320 h.p, will blow doors. the 300gt VR-4 is a true classic, anyone who had one of these bad boys know what i mean, the other models are nothing to talk about,
