I love the car other than it about broke my legs.

I gave one star because I almost got killed in this 2007 Mitsubishi outlander. Due to the suspension rotting away breaking parts off the car. And I was skidding on the bottom of the car across the rd. Because the tire ,control arms and shock broke clear off the car due to the frame being completely corroded the point it could not handle the downward push of the strut and hitting a small bump in the rd. And almost caused me to go into oncoming traffic. Don't even have 100.000 miles on it. The air conditioning leaves into the engine compartment causing more corrosion. It's not just the salt .it's the design of the suv.it needs fixed immediately or things are gonna end up in court. I was injured due to this poor engineering. Folks beware always check the crossmembers and the whole under chassis . That could be your last ride.

Love my Mitsubishi!

I have now a little bit over 100,000 miles on this car. It never let me down. besides the regular maintenance (oil change, new battery, new tires, break pads) I never had any major issues with this car. If I could get the very same model brand new, I would buy it in a heart beat. I drive 3 huge dogs around, they all fit in. I bought it in 2006 slightly used with 14,000 miles. Awesome car!

Why aren't there more Mitsubishi's?

Most reliable car I've owned. Surprisingly a lot of fun to drive. I own the 5-Speed Manual. It shifts like it's a sports car! It's one of those cars that makes you want to go on more adventures. When considering the price I bought it for, how reliable it has been, how reliable I am confident it will be, and how comfortable it is...I say snatch one while you still can. Really don't know why more Mitsubishi's aren't on the road. Way better experience with Mitsubishi than with Toyota and Honda.

Most reliable car I've owned

I LOVE it! I've used it to commute to work and we've taken it to the mountains on vacation camping. And it handles perfectly in ice and snow. I have almost 167,000 miles on it and no problems. Right now the only window that will roll down is the driver side. That's a minor issue compared to what a great car it's been. I have 4 big dogs and there's plenty of room for all of us. I love this car and wouldn't trade it!!!

Great little SUV

I bought my 2006 Outlander SE new in July 2006. I nove have almost 171,000 miles on it. I have replaced and accelerator sensor and the serpentine belt is the total repairs I have had to do on the car. It is peppy, and handles well on the highway. I drove it 100+ miles a day commuting for about 7 years. I really like the car, and don't plan on getting rid of it.

Good modest Sport UT

This is used so I cannot say how its been for the first 5-6 years myself. But I like that vehicle is not too over-sized. I had a Santa FE years ago and that seems to have low quality plastics and paints. Plus for suburban driving having a slightly knobbier tire and flared front killed the mileage more than what I am experiencing with Mitsubishi. The Outlander is smaller in the drivers foot area and seat but the only thing I don't like is the petals are made sort close together for a size 13 person. Gets decent MPG but not killer. I like that a have a relatively small turning radius and its decently maneuverable for a SUV.

Good Car for On the Go Life Styles

I have owned my Oulander for six years now and has been very good to me, Very reliable. Things I don't like about it however are: Highway noise when wondows are down, theres this rummbling/pressure noise and it's unbearable for me to leave the windows down at high way speeds. The 5 speed manual transmission new and now always shifted sort of rough at times.
