Fun to drive!!

I bought this car for a summer "fun car" & I absolutely love it! I found it on Cars.com. I looked for probably 9 months. I had a specific color that I wanted. I also didn't want to compromise on a manual shift. I was patient & found a used car in new car condition with low miles!! I couldn't be happier. I would recommend this car to anyone that was to make their drive a "fun" experience. It is a head turner, too!!

Performance Crazy

I love my car, I just wish the interior had a little more swagg and it had a hard convertable top... you get your money worth, in its performance 6 Speed

I'd do it again

We've had the car since it was new in 2004 and still get compliments on it. At 75,000 miles it has been mechanically sound with the 6 cylinder Nissan engine punched out to 267 hp. It won't beat a Porsche but at about $15,000 less than a Boxster, I'll sacrifice the extra second or two to 60mph. It's easily servicable, contrary to other sports cars in its class. We had only one warranty issues: the top had holes pinched in it and had to be replaced under warranty. It is very quiet when the top is up. In fact, I believe the noise level is better than the coupe because you don't get the rear tire road noise you get in the coupe. You can drive it at 95 with the top down and windows up and hardly have any wind problem within the car, or noise problem. Things to watch for: the paint in the earlier vehicles tended to chip very easily, The cloth seats are terrible. I've had them re-upholstered twice, the first time by the dealer under warranty and the second, on my dime. Stay away from Potenza tires as they don't last and seem to get eaten by the car. The front disks with the Nissan pads create a lot of brake dust, and have to be replaced often. My mechanic found an aftermarket disk which works just as well, lasts longer, and doesn't require me cleaning the wheels after every drive. Finally, it hasn't met a curb it liked which has resulted in repainting or replacing the bumper cover three times. Be careful and don't try to park anywhere within two feet of the curb. I'm now looking to replace the vehicle with the 370Z which says a lot on how I like the car. The biggest problem: getting it away from my wife to drive once in a while. She's the coolest teacher in the elementary school in which she teaches third grade.

Great sports car for the price!

I usually drive the car about 1,000 miles a month as a commute car and I have to say it is one of the most enjoyable cars I have ever driven. The car handles and performs like a Porsche and the price of the car makes it even more attractive. The recommendation on the car says that you should only put Premium High Octane, but for a car with 287HP it has a pretty good MPG rating. On the highway I've gone as high as 28MPG and on the streets I get about 17.5 MPG. Even though the car sits lower than most cars, the ride is not too harsh and absorbs cracks and holes pretty well. It doesn't absorb it like a Honda Accord Sedan as per say, but for the type of car it is, it's not too harsh. It has a great combination of a commute car, w/ attributes of a performance sports car. The only cons I have regarding the car, is that the oil change can cost about $75 because the car is supposed to use Mobile 1 or synthetic oil. Also, there is not much luggage space in the trunk. The manual says that you can store a golf bag, but I doubt that's true. The strut bar in the back makes it almost impossible to carry many things. But since the only I carry in my car is the groceries from an occasional trip to the supermarket it's not too bad. But beware if you are planning to carry furniture or anything big, because you probably have to get a rental for that. Other than the cons I believe Nissan did what they were setting out to accomplish when they made this car: create a high performance sports car that can also act as a daily commuting car. For a car that has a 287HP V-6, sports suspension, a drag of .30, a 0-60mph rating of 5.4sec, and an ave MPG of 17.5 I would say you get alot for the price!

I love to go to work and anywhere else

I've had many company cars and now I need to find a new ride to work. I wanted a fun car. That's all I asked for, and that's exactly what my Z delivers.

xxxxx.

I have low compression issues in two cylinders. Has a tendancy of being in wrecks. 1 cup holder. Replaced power window motor four times. Oil mysteriously vanishes from crankcase. scrapes the ground EVERYWHERE! No back seat. headlight lenses fog up and leak.CDs play on one side of the speakers. Air bag light flashes randomly. Has a bad rattle in the exhaust due to rocks. Would make a great car for someone with lots of money and a rubber spine and a memory foam butt.

Buy it

What a great car... I bought mine used, 100% stock and it was really a great handling car. Having traded in my BMW 3 series, I wasn't 100% sure what to expect, and I was more than happy with the acceleration, steering, gear ratio, etc. I lowered mine, put on some wider shoes, and a new cold-air intake. For a little extea $$$, there are few cars on the road my Z can't keep up with or out-perform. If you are used to a standard vehicle, the ride can be a bit "Indy-car" esqe, but other than that, I have no complaints.

Love my Z!!!!

I love my 350. It is such a reliable vehicle. I would never get rid of it!!!! Other "sports cars" may come and go, but the Nissan Z series is a legacy that will never be surpassed by any other imitations!!!!

350Z Best Cat I have owned

I have found the 350Z to be the only Japanese car that has both the reliability that you expect from Japan, but also the performance of a German car. I bout mine a few years ago and have been very happy.

Best Bang For Your Buck!!

I love this car! The VQ engine sounds amazing and performs very well. The amount of performance you get for your money is great. The car has plenty of room on the inside to comfortably fit in and has plenty of room in the back for luggage. Don't ever listen to any negative feedback on this car because it is all around a great bargain and one of the best cars i've ever driven.
